Guarantee that will be said. Same as I guarantee one bloke will moan if Patto dares to misplace a pass, Neil loses a tackle, Roberts doesn't bang one in top corner or 09 misses 1 header
It is, but I've tried explaining to one of them that his constant moaning is annoying people and was told " I pay the same as you and am entitled to air my views" Which he is, just not constantly at the top of his voice. He doesn't half go quiet when we play well
I've got a nagging feeling that Samed will be starting for Rigg. Just something RLB said the other week, when he mentioned that 1 player will get around 60 mins and the sub 30, then in the next match it will be reversed to save the legs. I suppose we'll find out tomorrow
They usually do. A driver came to our workplace last season, sitting how **** it all was (and it was after Beale so he had a point) but he went on to have a go about Speakman and KLD - you all know the stuff, billionaire won't put his hand in his pocket, Speakman not good enough, yada yada yada. I tried to argue the point and was called a happy clapper, won't have a bad word said about the club. Start of this season when we were top, oh it's great, brilliant behind the scenes - they done a great job getting RLB in!
Patterson could take the easy way out and just wallop the ball upfield. We’d concede possession because Isidor had the leap of a tin of salmon. But he's being asked to play triangles with the centre backs and find the wingers on the halfway line. He wasn’t great at either but he’s improving at both. Rather that than be a Meslier imo.
I stated elsewhere Patto tried a couple of long low flat balls to Wilson against Plymouth. They didnt come off but thy were decent attempts at a quick breakaway. I think with the pace we have upfront I wouldnt mind seeing a few more like this. Mainly because my arse drops out every time we do the little triangles around the box . To be fair it is good they have the confidence in themselves to play it out this way.
The amount of people that can't see the ball out to the wings is a clear tactic and the margin for error is tiny staggers me
I get frustrated with this although I do recognise the tactic and that Patto is being told to do it. I just wish that he’d increase the margin for error by trying to hit the winger rather than the full back. If it goes out of play we’ve conceded possession further up the pitch. If it simply falls to one of the opposition players, there are more opportunities to win the ball back as they’d still need to beat our defensive line as they’d be starting from further towards/ inside their own half.
Strange type of game . Watford out of form and us going well. We've all seen what can go wrong Plymouth. I am sure we will learn from that game and start the game with a quicker tempo. Hopefully a goal to settle us down and bring them out a little. Watford can be a decent side but I think we will win this one by a couple of goals. Haway the lads.
Lesson to be learned from Plymouth. Felt like something clicked at boro in that second half. Let’s get a run going. Any win Will do but hoping it’ll be a one we get by more than one. 2-0 to the lads.
I think what clicked was Le Fee knew Wilson made runs. We finally have a forward again and someone who knew how to use him. As well as a lets win mentality from all of them.
Definitely. Didn’t look like settling for the draw on Monday which wouldn’t have been a disastrous result, positive sign. I’d be surprised if we weren’t unchanged tomorrow unless I’ve missed an injury or suspension.
I think there are fans who 2 or 3 years ago who had no patience for mistakes or the learning curve, who now are seeing the value of learning in games. Jobe is getting more latitude than Neil got with many. I think that is great tbh. For years as a club we were used to not having young lads, anf therefore not used to see the learning. Johnson started the change, and players got grief but he got it. Unsursprisingly the first Speakman appt. Since then we have seen the progress available if we dont jump on a player time and again. Long may it continue
The one position we have plenty options to be fair, samed in and move Neil forward? Enzo central mayenda wide?
Both options fair id personally put samed in think a midfield of: samed Rigg neil is good and much more balanced than the last time we started Samed
