Yeah I feel the same. Having said that I feel less worried about this game than I did ahead of Plymouth - it just felt inevitable that we'd slip up against the worst team in the league. These lot are in a bit of a tailspin and appear to be missing some key players not to mention the usual flux at boardroom level where it's expected Cleverley will get the boot soon.
Do any of the old SMBers remember a series of threads over there allegedly from a girl, I think from Cuba? She claimed to be a SAFC supporter. Well, doing a bit of detective work I found that the majority of ‘her’ posts were taken from this Watford forum and a poster called Klive of the Kremlin or something similar. Having contacted Klive he told me that he had nothing to do with the SMB and it wasn’t him posting. So I reckon it was one of the regular WUMs on there thinking they were being clever.
I think lots were angry about the fact we sat back, and invited the equaliser after fortunately getting ahead.
Watford are in free fall. 1 win and 1 draw in their last 8. This is one of those games where we absolutely have to make count and put the pressure on those above us. I think this is the one we've been waiting for. Someone is due a hammering from us when everything clicks, and Tom Cleverley is likely one hammering away from the sack. 6-0. Isidor 2, Rigg 2, Mayenda, Roberts
Normally when a team is in poor form they turn up at our place and perform like Brazil (see Plymouth)
Seems likely it'll only be when either Mundle or Watson are ready for a full return. It's not ideal but to be fair he is having an impact out wide.
Mundle and Watson should be doing what we used to do as kids … … get out on some grass and try, over and over again, to do what we’d seen a player do in the previous match. If they’re not learning from Le Fèe they’re not serious football players imo.
I absolutely loved that era but personally speaking, I think this side has already surpassed it and by that I'm including Mowbray's side in that. Yes the back end of last season left us feeling flat but that first season back in the Championship was as good as it's been for quite a while, this season has gone up another level. But what makes it feel more special than Reidy's side it's that this one is so much younger than that one and more exciting going forward
Agree with all of that just Reidy's was in the Prem or 1st division whatever it was at the time. Whatever I am absolutely loving it.
Can we please score an early goal or 2 tomorrow just to shut the miserable ones around me up. If we haven't scored at least 1 within the first 15 minutes I can see me moving seats again.
I love the fact I have a decent squad front back and sides around me. Nearly all fellow fossils who have been supporting the lads for a long time talking sense.
Mowbray had us playing some stunning stuff going forward, it was a joy to watch. RLB has us playing with serious style going forward but our defensive style is just as impressive. Credit to the players for being so disciplined. We are a bloody good team and it might be red and white tinted glasses but we are a lovely team to watch
It wouldn’t work As soon as Watford cross the half way line it’ll be, ‘They’re sitting back and inviting them on!’ If we don’t track their players back that’ll be wrong as well … … being miserable is fine but be miserable quietly
Oh definitely it was a better level, for me we're playing a better style of football too Reidy's side. Don't get be wrong, I loved it at the time and still have great memories of it all but I feel this style is now progressive that previously. But like you, I'm absolutely loving it and can't wait for the next match
Everyone bar 4 around us are spot on. However the 4 are so loud and arrogant they are right and we are all wrong it dominates out little section. I wouldn't be suprised if a few round us move next season as they don't like they way they carry on
