Like the look of Geragusian's goals he could be the real deal imo.

Suspect he’s one we will need to tie down to a pro on turning 17. Vultures will be circling.

Sunderland AFC Under-21s earned a point on the road with a 2-2 draw against Wolves in the Premier League Cup.

Despite the hosts equalising through Matthew Whittingham and taking the lead through Daniel Mangu, a brace from Finn Geragusian ensured the points were shared in Group D.

Graeme Murty named a youthful side to take on the Wanderers. Ben Middlemas taking the captain's armband.

The Black Cats flew out of the traps, with the opening goal coming after 40 seconds. Middlemas' ball to the back post finding Gergagusian to tap home his first U21 goal.

It should have been two moments later as Oli Bainbridge fired towards goal, to be palmed over by Joshua Gracey.

Against the run of play, Wolves had their equaliser on the half-hour mark. Whittingham sliding the ball underneath the on-rushing Dan Cameron.

The hosts then took the lead as the game entered its final third. Mangu getting on the end of the flicked-on corner.

The Black Cats were deservedly level in the final moments. Jaydon Jones with some excellent play to beat his man and deliver the ball for Geragusian to guide the ball home for his second of the evening.

Sunderland will now only require a point in the final group fixture against Huddersfield to qualify for the knockout stages.

SAFC: Cameron, Lavery, Bell, Kindon, Bainbridge, Jaydon Jones, Middlemas, Whittaker, Walsh (Lenz 60), Tutierov (Neill 82), Geragusian

    Unused subs: Metcalf, Holcroft, Scott

Some of these lads are playing above their age group and thriving, the likes of Geragusian and Neill for example when they've been given the chance they've done well. We are the new Crewe Alexandra.

Great that Seelt is getting regular playing time now

It would be great to have him back on the first team bench soon but Hjelde being left footed and adding balance may prevent that
