Agreed, especially when we played such a needlessly strong side against Harrogate in the previous round.

Just viewed the Meslier wonder save which appeared to be in slow motion. Nothing any keeper would expect to make.

Rest a few but we can have a good run and win the Championship, I definitely would not risk James, Piroe and Solomon - This is a game where I wish we had kept Joffy

I've just watched it back on the highlights real, there was no power in the header, if he had got beat it would have been disgraceful, decent save but definitely an expected one. I think Meslier has been so poor when he pulls off a half decent save we are so relieved we think it is better than it is. If it boosts his confidence and helps him play better I will nominate it for save of the season

I know but we have to keep the Ilan fan club happy. I genuinely read a comment that likened it to the banks save from Pele. To be fair it was similar… it involved a goal keeper, a header and a save.

I see Farke didn't get nominated for any awards in January. Surely that means he's useless too and heading for the exit door with Ilan. plus 46 goal difference despite useless keeper and manager isn't bad though

Not sure if you remember the Revie days, but Meslier reminds me a little bit of Gary Sprake. He could be brilliant one moment, pulling off a save that was only in the compass of a half dozen 'keepers in the world, then a few minutes later he'd spill the easiest of catches
    Infuriately wasn't quite the word.
I remember going to the '72 cup final and on the way hearing that Revie had dropped Sprake for David Harvey - we all felt a little better after hearing that.

I definitely don't remember ever seeing Meslier pull off a save that I would put in the top 50 yet alone 6

Farke is average at this level, I don't understand why you can't see that he has the best team in the division so achieving what we are at present is as expected. Give Lewis Hamilton the fastest car and he should win, give a top Jockey the fastest horse and he should win. Farke has been given the best team two seasons running, he failed last season, he is doing as expected this season.

Saying that, I think he has improved, he has found a formula to pick up away points even if it is as simple as Gruev for Rothwell and at least he has stopped insisting Piroe can play at 10 and that we play better with a proper RB and proper LB

Frank Lampard to be questioned by the EFL for doing the ****er gesture to Leeds fans after the final whistle. Did he do it, yes, just watched some footage on X

So what? We give him stick and he gives a little back. Football banter is all it is or do we want to go all woke on this as well? ****s sake, what a bunch of pussies the world is churning out these days <doh>

Part of me is fine with it, if managers/players get stick, why shouldn’t they give it back. But the grown up in me, recognises that highly paid public figures have a responsibility to rise above it.

Get a grip. Pisses me right off when the crowd bait, swear and chant insults at opposition players, then act like offended schoolchildren when something comes back.

missing the point, I agree about the crowd whining and getting offended. All you have to do to wind them up is smile and wave back. Getting involved with it makes the ‘responder’ no better, and they’re supposed to set an example.

I'm just happy and buzzing that everything is going well. Happy with the current performances and everyone on the pitch in one of our shirts. Long may it continue as it makes or breaks my week seriously. 15 more games to put right the wrongs of last season and so far I have no worries going into Feb, From what Ive seen we have the best team in the division and the boys are currently bouncing off each other and Tanaka can have my wife anytime or anywhere he likes :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Think you’re harsh on DF fella. Yep we have a relatively talented squad… last year we tended to rely on individuals, this year he’s created a team and it’s how they perform as units with and without the ball that’s setting us apart. That’s on the coach no?

im very confident we’re the best team but I suspect the last 2 games have shown teams what happens if you don’t park the bus against us. Suspect there’ll be very few games from now on where teams have a go. So we may experience some more burnley moments, where we don’t look the second coming.

Maybe mate but if that was one of the best teams in this division on offer we should feel very confident.
