Yeah, playing the hard man when he'd probably **** himself run if someone turned round to him. Showed it all with his attempts at hard man drinking and going on about tiktok. A silly little boy trying to impress his mates.
Ive already said Jobe to blame also if calling the ball. Bad Call. 09 has control of situation and ultimately makes the decision. IMO he is the last sunderland player with the ball under no pressure. After his decision, the play breaks down and we concede a goal. Not all his fault but he played a part. If you look at incident and freeze the play, contrary to what you had said, 09 had lots of time to decide what to do. A pass to keeper was on as were other options. IMO he chose the most risky pass and it cost us a goal. Lets hope everyone learns from joint mistake. Similarly to your random comment to me, I will assume your in the 09 never to blame..
I've refrained, because it’s over, but I’ll chip in as it keeps going. O’Nien doesn’t release the ball until after Jobe runs towards him. As far as I'm concerned that’s the signal to make the pass. Jobe runs towards the ball and would’ve collected it but, for some reason, stops which is presumably so he can roll the player and turn. He does that a dozen times a game so not unreasonable to expect that. He almost pulls it off but the Boro player doesn’t fall for it. If Jobe hadn’t showed for the ball O’Nien wouldn’t have passed.
My biggest worry is how bad Patto's ball control is, also his distribution is terrible, needs a good coach working on his ball control. However his shot stopping is 1st class.
That's not my biggest concern about him. I can live with poor distribution, but it's his erratic and lack of command of his box that's a bigger problem for me. Too often he's rooted to his goal line, that's how Plymouth's equaliser came about. But then he'll come out to deal with a cross/corner etc. when it's not expected. This causes confusion with the centre halves as they'll not know if hes coming out or not.
Pattos ball control and command of his box is no worst than than the vast majority of keepers in the championship and even the premiership. Look at arsenal's keeper last night and man city's Sunday. Same as the moaning about his distribution when half the time he's expected to ping a 60 years ball to the fullback on the touchline. Slightly wrong and it goes put of play, yet name 10 outfield players that could do it right 95 times out of a 100
There were rightly a lot of questions asked about his captaincy, his form had suffered and the team were not doing great. At the time I thought he needed time to get used to being captain and at Borough he showed how well he is doing in that role. I would also suggest that his new contract may not be signed until he knows which league we are in next season as this would give him bargaining power.
Totally agree mate, in the same game DN takes a ball from defences whilst under pressure and turns his man, passes to Le Fee who then cuts them open with a pass to Isidor GOAL! Small margins.
Neil himself said that his form was poor, he struggled with the new role and had made mistakes … … so those who mentioned that, at the time, were actually right. This idea that people jump on him because he’s a local lad seems weird, certainly in my case. One of the things I'm most proud of is the local aspect of our team.
Coulda Woulda Shoulda Football isn't settled by statistics and data, it's settled by how many time you kick the white round thing into the goal. Boro can keep their possession stats and xG and put them on the wall next to the Mags' corners trophy and seats certificate. I'll keep the 6 points. Thanks very much
****ing clip of that The absolute state of those Stone Island virgins man. More interested in being "lads on the booze boys" than watching the match. I venture that if any of them who had "tried" to get to our lot actually got through they would have **** their actual pants.
Not sure if this has been posted but it shows how good our support is ... ... and hilarious to see the Boro fans set themselves up for a massive fall
This photo my son took has been recreated in a painting, which is on sale from North East Sporting Moments and they have sent him a copy, signed by Isidor and Rigg, with a thank you for letting them use it. Lovely gesture and will take pride of place on his bedroom wall.
