Another Leeds league game where they win by a 2+ margin. Think that’s 16 for the season now

Ange always says he wins trophies in his second season. Would like to think it's the league Cup but I can't handle the risk. Come on Liverpool

It's ok, it's a meaningless cup. I remember the mags telling me that in 2016 :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I seemed to be one of the few who wanted a Leeds win but they’re where they’ll stay imo …

… better if they’re feeling complacent when we play rather than it being a vital game imo.

And I wanted Coventry brought down a bit.

So judging by all these comments on here tonight… Newcastle are back to being our rivals, again?

They are the new Wimbledon, ride their luck, rely on ref/var, time waste, awful dirty players who seemingly never get booked (Bruno and Joelinton)

Burnley and Leeds are in the FA Cup after RLB swerved it, imo, after deciding 46 league games is more than enough for a young side.

Sheff Utd were battered 3-0, by relegations fighters Hull, in their last home game and now face another bottom club in Portsmouth.

Utd are the only top four side to have lost in the last six games, two against Hull and Sunderland.

Portsmouth are in decent form and drew with Burnley last time out, they also beat Boro recently.

That's my personal 'next big non-Sunderland game' and I'd be delighted with even a draw, providing we win of course.

We won't suddenly shoot up the table, it'll be a grind with two steps forward and one step back ...

... all that matters is where are when the whistle blows at home to QPR.

There'll certainly be plenty of ups and downs. That's the nature of the championship. What we know is that our team never know when they are beaten. There is a resilience that this young squad displays week in week out. We need to back them when things are not going our way, and enjoy the times when we play like we can.

I love your posts on the Mags, always piping them off saying how wonderful and amazing they are but always with a token thumbs down or ‘grrrrr’ to sign off for ‘balance’.

Anything but, just say what I see. Hate them as much as the next SAFC supporter but don’t pretend they’re ****e, which they aren’t these days

I know not many on here are too fond of him but I actually think Lampard got a bit of an unfair rap for his previous management record. Coventry didn’t really recruit in January other than Grimes who’s a solid midfielder at this level but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them nick 6th place. Going to be an interesting battle for those play off places I can see a few teams missing out by the odd point or two. I know there’s an obvious gap in the table but it’s starting to look like there’s a real bridge in quality between the top 4 and the chasing pack. We should be confident going into the play offs if we were to miss out

I think most SAFC fans even when/if they have a begrudging admiration for them would rather keep schtum and say nowt instead of gushing with praise in every post.

I agree, mate. He did do well at Derby and initially at Chelsea, so I do think there is some coaching ability there. Whether it's good enough for major EPL clubs or that he got the Chelsea and Everton jobs too early/because of his name is open to debate (personally I think he did get them in name not merit).

I think as well he's just a very unpopular person, my brother hates him, for example and refuses to admit that he was a good player. So I think from the outside he's already not liked and people are quick to jump on him, deserved or not.

Seems to be a bit of dislike toward former english footballers as managers in general I think and people wanting them to fail. Same with Rooney, Gerrard etc although Gerrard done himself no favours going to Saudi.

Bit of a catch 22 because if they get a role it’s always going to based on the reputation in the eyes of some but the owners of the club probably want a bit of that too. I actually think it’s decent of Rooney to go to Plymouth when he has all the money in the world and doesn’t need to work, they’re terrible as it is and relegation was always on the cards and it’s the arse end of the country.

I dislike him because of his sanctimonious attitude in interviews which is the only actual ‘contact’ I’ve ever had with him. Same goes for Rooney and Gerrard who also seems to derive very little joy from football.

It’s nothing to do with them being English in my case …

    … just wish they’d f*cking cheer up a bit <laugh>
