They were a bit out of my 90s indie comfort zone tbh (ability too heavy for me) but I did like the tunes that have beem posted. What happened to them? Did Fred pack in or form another band?

Definitely remember the 'yo red cap' video when it came out. It was class. Maybe the se time as The Offspring were releasing Pretty Fly? There were a few American bands around that time.

There was a decent amount of American bands, system of a down, Korn, sum 41, alien ant farm, Linkin park.

Nu metal then the indie scene over here, it's the soundtrack in my head

Described as a rebel without a clue, Simon Ritchie, better known to the world at large as Sid Vicious died today aged 21 in New York City.
He was only ever going to be a flash in the pan and his celebrity would have certainly waned very quickly after the initial demise of Sex Pistols had he not shuffled off this mortal coil at such a young age but he certainly gave the establishment something to get upset about.

The day the music died. Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper died in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa today. The incident was later immortalised in the song American Pie by Don McLean.

Born today in 1935, Alex Harvey. Similar to the Steve Marriott/Humble Pie post a few days earlier, the same lad I went to college with was also into The SAHB. So I also listened to them as well.

Also born today in 1964, Duff McKagan, bass player with Guns n Roses

And lastly, born today in 1997 is a football player called Patrick Roberts, whoever he is.
