Going 1-1 more in hope than expectation.

Meite for the not so mighty Bluebirds.

    Cheers Irish/FFB <cheers>

Just adding to this post from December.

Who do you think should play against Stoke in the cup?

Personally I’d like to see Salech up front from the start.

Simic or Pearce from the start and either to get half an hour in the second half.

Horvarth should start. A decent display and he’s got every chance of starting our next league game instead of the hapless Alnwick.

Collins I believe still is on the books so maybe another chance for him?

Ng and Fish should start as well as Colwill with hopefully Mannsverk and Alves having game time.

Need to get some minutes into some legs and see the new boys get a run out.
Salech, Mannsverk and Alves all to start.
I'd give Ashford a breather, probably Robinson as well.
Outside that, it's surprising how many options we now have.
Whoever comes in or comes off the bench won't significantly detract from the team.
It's all about Riza getting the game plan and the combinations right.
Salech, El Ghazi, Robertson and Alves as the front 4 might be exciting.
Mannsverk as one of the two behind them.
That should give us some go forward.

    Ramsey declared fit for Stoke.
He certainly shouldn't start in my mind.
The newbies need a run out and are more likely to see the season out than he is.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to give him 10 or 15 minutes depending on the circumstances. Just to see how fit he actually is and what his attitude is like.
    Don't forget he's a cup winner and scorer in a final <laugh>

I notice that whilst we play Stoke in the Cup on Saturday, Portsmouth and Derby who both got knocked out in the last round have Championship games. Both are away - Portsmouth at Sheffield Utd and Derby at Norwich.

We could do with a couple of home wins there to keep both below us and have our postponed home game against Hull up our sleeve as our game in hand.

With all due respect, whatever happens at Stoke, that's by far the most important scenario - though I'd take a Rambo winner to get us into the 5th round..<whistle>
