I think almost all of us agree Sport Republic don't know how to run the football side of things and have made some very big mistakes. The difference here is some of us think they just need to appoint someone to do that job for them (at least partly because they did that once before and it worked reasonably well) while others think the only solution is for them to sell the club.
Oh, I must have imagined Solak very publicly moving the people responsible away from direct control of the club. Silly me.
They have proven to be so inept in their decisions that I want them gone completely. Even a DOF isn’t enough, because if he does well, he’ll be gone in 6 months. Then we will be ****ed again. These charlatans need to be hounded out of the club
Good point. They may get it wrong again, that’s a possibility of course. But to say they aren’t/haven’t done anything. You’re right, I should remember it’s a fool’s errand.
I don't think you can say they blew it when they appointed Wilcox. He ran the football side of things well enough that he was then recruited by one of the biggest football clubs in the world. That's not blowing it. Not replacing him was clearly a huge mistake but they're now correcting that mistake.
Yeah I know mate that's not the point I'm trying to make. I guess what I'm trying to say is that just because people aren't upset with the transfer window it doesn't mean they think SR are doing a good job.
I assume they’ve probably messed up the paperwork, like they mess up absolutely everything else they touch
Which says a lot more about you than it does them. Anyhow, all good. I’m going to step back from it now. We can only wait and see.
Grønbæk and Wellington starting against Ipswich and making positive contributions also a figment of the collective imagination.
Fair. I suppose I just want to see a bit more passion from our fans. I don't understand why people would make excuses for SR as I think they're really really bad for the club. As @tomw24 says, we'll see who has egg on their face, but this really isn't a win for me when if I'm right. I love our club, I hate seeing such obvious and complete mismanagement of it. I remember the protests against Lowe in 2004, this is far worse! What's happened to us as a fan base to just accept this ****?
Sounds like Saints have done good business here. WBA paying most of his wages plus paying a loan fee by all accounts. Plus a good move for Adarma himself which is important.
