As much as this is a pragmatic window, I would hate to be a season ticket holder knowing it really isn’t going to get much better this season.

Yeah, I can see why ST holders would be pissed off. It is a tricky one because, whilst it does feel wrong to essentially give up and put resources towards next season, it is ultimately what is best for the success of the club - which is what fans want above anything.
On the flip side though I'm a STH and not bothered in slightest. Like I said last night I'd have been more annoyed if we'd spunked cash on overpriced ****e chasing an impossible great escape. I gave up on us surviving this season around October as it was clear we aren't anywhere near good enough so I can't really complain if the club have given up in January.
It's funny how things work out. If we'd beaten Man Utd and nicked a point against Forest then Juric would have picked up 7 points by now, we'd only be 6 behind Wolves and we might well have gone for it in this window.
So our strikers are: Onuachu, archer, Stewart. assume SR want to save a load of cash. Treating the fans badly, we’re in for a crap second half of the season.
If they went for it there was still a chance, although slim. Just not worth the gamble for SR. They had given up before a ball was kicked.
You know who also didn’t sign anyone for their extra loan slot yesterday? Ipswich and Leicester. I presume they’re useless/shambles/should sell the club etc as well? Leicester didn’t sign anyone at all this window. Or maybe there weren’t any sensible loan players available? (And those two have a chance of staying up too).
I would completely agree if we had a board that had a good track record for planning for the future and making good, astute signings and a capability of getting rid of players we don’t need. Unfortunately all I see with this window is that we’ve loaned a bunch of players out which is just pushing all the headaches to the summer and the board will fanny around for months and not have a full squad together by August. I know it’s pessimistic but I’m just going by their previous track record. Remember we lost JWP, Alcaraz, Tella, Salisu when the Championship season was underway and we played games with them. Just always so late to do anything. It’s not our job to fix it though, that’s what pisses me off the most. There was seemingly no desire or intent to fix anything this season until 2 weeks into January. No conversations or plans done prior to the window, seemingly no plan to change what Martin was doing or a plan to offload the ones that weren’t fitting and replaced with players who Martin actually wanted. Nothing was in the works at all. It’s just baffling. It’s like they really were happy being the worst team in PL history because someone up high really believed table position didn’t matter. We We may beat the Derby record numerically but we match them comfortably for being an utter embarrassment and the whipping boys of the league and the board were seemingly sat back saying everything was fine.
Why are you going by their previous track record when we’ll have an entirely new board in place in the summer? (Bar Parsons, who works on the commercial side).
Well no, because the players we've loaned out will be important players for us in the Championship. The exception possibly being Diaz if Sheffield United choose to buy him and in that case we get 10mill.
Granted we got Albert G in but Wellington doesn’t really count & they’re only saying B- because we saved spunking £ (which I agree with). However, with that said it’s really only C at best.
Leicester’s one PL loan has been Edouard from Palace last summer. He’s made 4 sub appearances this season. Shambles. Disgrace. They should sell the club.
TBF one player I would have at least asked if he's available for loan is Oscar Bobb. I know City didn't want to loan him out in the summer but he's just resumed training after injury and they've just bought Marmoush so their stance may have changed.
Well, I`m absolutely furious with this transfer window - not even a single spotty youth waving an inflatable cock behind a feckless Sky reporter outside a darkened SMS as the window slammed shut. Frankly, SR should hang their heads in shame.
