I only realised recently that I only have a £2k limit on my CC. It's been like it for well over a decade, I never ever gave it a thought. Thing is I don't like using CC, so purposely set the limit low at the time. Although the only reason I don't like paying by card is because I don't want a digital trail of all my transactions, that's my business.
Big black booty, Dominantrix, Bored Housewives. None of us want those subscriptions showing up on our transactions mate
I didn't realise they used BACS for small transactions, I thought it was just a wages payment system for large companies, generally running into thousands and millions. Unless my definition of BACS is wrong, well it must be.
Yeah it's just another term for bank transfer really. I think it stands for Banks automated clearing or something. CHAPS is the other one a lot of banks use I think
I've still got some customers who want to pay me in Cheques lol. I was telling my daughter about it and she was like 'What's a cheque ?'
Yeah I know about CHAPS and Faster Payments. BACS is ideal commercially because it takes 3 days, now people might think how is that ideal, well it means if you are paying out thousands or millions and you make a mistake or if there is a system identified mistake, you got time to extract the payment. Although not so bad these days as a law was passed a few years back that allows banks now to take money back from you automatically if you ignore their requests for contact.
I've honestly never used a cheque, the other half has plenty of times, mainly because it use to be how schools dealt with payments. Edit: I thought the banks were going to scrap cheques?
All of the transfers I do have a couple of pages of checks and warnings and a disclaimer that you won't get your money back if you don't check before you proceed. To be fair, they are pretty good at matching up the account with the person and whether it's a private or business account etc. It then asks if I really really really want to go ahead and pay the money. Well not really, but yeah they are asking for it so I'll have to
Yeah I thought so too I had one a few months ago, my banking app deposits it by me taking a pic of the front and back of it.
mine does all that and if it is for a new person / business it sends me a text with a code to input to make sure it's a hacker or the like. should point out only use my laptop for this have no banking app on my phone
Could have been the wifi/bluetooth mate. If that drops for a second or not strong enough it’ll decline. Either that or her shop will be closed next time you go round lol
