I agree with Patto and O9, however Roberts might just get the room and lack of respect he needs to blossom in the Prem.
Its just the go too for some fans, I'd love to know what experienced strikers that went to lesser clubs that they want
There will be a place for o9 Roberts depends on his consistency until end of the season. 2nd half yesterday we saw what he can do. Definitely needs decent competition on the RW though, to push him. Not sure if povedo is the one to do it. Same for Hume as well. Need another RB (regardless of where we are ) Patto main weakness is his distribution. Really needs to work on that. If we go up, he needs to raise his game
He's class and only getting better. I still think there's loads for him to improve on but that's what makes him so exciting He is still getting used to playing as the main CF, but he has all the attributes you'd want in a CF Mayenda has been very good this season and looks an unreal prospect so I didn't want an experienced CF coming in and taking his minutes
I get the age old sentiment of wanting a rough and tumble striker to use as back up, but it is hard to think who'd fit? You'd imagine it'd have to be someone whos played in this league, so they're aware of what it takes. It doesn't leave very many, especially those who are even available. Take Riis for example, last year of his contract, he might have cost us a million quid or more? For 5 or 6 months? It could be money well spent, but it's hard to say.
Amazed we haven't shipped Anderson out. He turns 24 on Thursday and is stealing a living as an u21 player with no prospect of of first team football
Had plenty of choice. Just kept saying no too moves. Guess his initial contract from us is too high. The positive of this window is obviously ELF. The biggest one is keeping our star players though, once again, some significant interest and could have made today feel much difference. Now it's time to turn to contract talks and nail them down. Danns is ok, not too sure he starts but guess he will have to play more than we initially think otherwise Liverpool wouldn't have allowed him here
Decent option off the bench. Looks like he has pace and power, so something to stretch tired legs in the last 20 maybe. Don't see him starting any/many games
My Liverpool supporting mate reckons Danns will be a great signing. He said even as an impact sub he will really help us, he watches loads of the youth games for them and he is a huge fan of Danns
A load of my mates when I lived in West Yorkshire were Liverpool fans (I know) and for the last year they’ve been saying we should get him. One of them gets to some of the reserve games when he gets home to Southport. He reckons he’ll be starting next year for Liverpool after this loan, just needs to get some more games. He’s the youth player they all have the highest hopes for. They say his finishing is class.
