RIP Buddha, the man was one of our own , played in 3 cup final games and had an amazing shot on him with hardly any back lift , if I remember correctly, he had a bad car accident which brought a premature end to his Spurs career
Met him once about 12 yrs ago at a spurs legends game. Was really friendly ... signed a 81 shirt i had. Was very out of shape but still had that shot and a beautiful first touch. Scored the first spurs hattrick I saw live...v Coventry in 81 ish
Very sad. A Spurs player very much of my time, and was the kind of squad player the club sorely needs.
This is where Dele gets to play his home games now… wow! Finish the match then go for a dip, what a life.
I'm convinced their owners are dodgy Mainly based on their transfer activity this season being a bit pricier than you would expect
A few years ago while on a cycle tour of the isle of Wight we stopped at a pub and the walls were decorated with Como fc scarves and photos , chatting with the landlord , a group of them found it cheaper and better to support Como fc than Southampton or Portsmouth, they went to 10 home games a season and were made honourable supporters by the local mayor who was also the club owner
Peter Crouch picks his 3 favourite goals for Spurs: You can probably guess them, but I still enjoyed that. He was at the game today, too.
He had quite the eventful summer - Almost as soon as he joined permanently he fell out with the Hajduk board - Hajduk fans were on his case, as he spent last season actively avoiding putting in challenges as he was only there to get fit for the Euros - He then got into a fight with Hajduk's coach (though as it's Gennaro Gattuso, I wouldn't 100% put that on Perisic...) - Hajduk tried to arrange a deal to take him to Italy, but his wage demands tanked any potential deal - Hajduk finally cancelled his contract on the last day of the summer window, less than two months (and just 1 match) after he joined them permanently - He wound up at PSV in mid-September
