In fairness Ugo, Coleman and the Club indicated that they had learned the lessons from other transfer windows and that they would move at pace.

Today’s the last day and as usual there have been more departures than arrivals, and the one that has come in smacks of panic given Darling’s suspension and potential departure.

Agree in principle Taff but having watched the Swans from before the Doug Sharpe era any signings at any time were always received with cheer mostly last minute.coms.
We must remember these owners are treating this club like a business so if there is no money available there is no spending done.

I saw my first game in April 1966 so like yourself have welcomed many signings over the years.

" these owners are treating this club like a business ".

Well, guess what ? That's exactly what it is - A BUSINESS.
As such, they can do what they like, when they like. Spend money, or not, as THEY see fit.

It always amazes me that customers/fans/supporters think that the owners are there to be insulted, abused, and treated with utter contempt.

The behaviour on here towards the " Yank " " owners " is quite reprehensible, bordering on juvenile.

I wondered how long it would take Vetch to have a go at something Ugo posted ….

Ugo, let’s not forget, is a much respected Swan/member of the Jack Army.

Welcome to the ‘club’ Ugo <cheers>

Football would not be fun if there were no differing opinions though as has been stated the Americans own the club and if they dont want to go in to debt they wont

Swansea City defender Harry Jones has been recalled from his loan spell with Weymouth and had his contract terminated by mutual consent.

Jones, who can play as a full-back or centre-half, was having a second spell on loan with the National League South side and had made three appearances so far this term.

The Wales youth international joined the Swans in the summer of 2020 after leaving Arsenal, and signed his first professional deal with the club later that year.

Everyone at Swansea City wishes Harry the best in his future career.

So far all we’ve done is sell Grimes, sign the Swedish lad and loan him back. Great bit of business

    At last:

Swansea City is pleased to confirm the signing of Lewis O'Brien from Nottingham Forest on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, subject to international clearance.

Midfielder O’Brien will bring considerable experience to head coach Luke Williams’ squad, including nearly 150 Championship appearances.

The 26-year-old came through the ranks at Huddersfield Town, where he made 123 appearances and scored eight goals; helping them reach the Championship play-off final in 2023.

He then joined Nottingham Forest and made 13 Premier League appearances before making loan moves to DC United, Middlesbrough and Los Angeles FC; racking up another 23 Championship outings for Boro.

"We are excited to welcome Lewis to Swansea City," said Swans boss Williams.

"His versatility and experience will undoubtedly strengthen our midfield, and his skill set will be invaluable to us for the rest of the season. He will make a big impact on the pitch."

Swansea City have been rocked by a double deadline day blow, having seen moves for Manchester City midfielder Jacob Wright and Red Bull Salzburg's Bobby Clark fall through.

Wright had looked set to join the Swans in what would have been a loan move with an obligation to buy at the end of the season, and was in Fairwood on Sunday night to hold further discussions with the club.

However, despite previous hope that a move could be completed, it seems the player has seemingly opted against a move to south Wales. Reports elsewhere have suggested the 19-year-old could now be poised for a move to Championship rivals Norwich City.

I wonder how long Coleman will give Williams?

It strikes me that Coleman may need a patsy to take the focus from himself, given the level of discontent over yet another poor transfer window.

Lessons have been learned he said …. <doh>
