The problem is once Mundle and Watson (If he stays) are back fit Adil probably won't even get on the bench. That's not fair on him and a wage that can go towards another signing.
Some people love finding the negative. The club is being run like a professional football club these days, instead of a joke to the professional football clubs! No longer the holiday club for the piss heads and journeyman. No longer a soft touch in the transfer market and trusted to develop talent for top clubs, Danns isn't like Borini etc ... who we have had from Liverpool and the likes, he isn't sent here because they have decided he isn't good enough and it's giving him minutes before they get rid. They want him developed to be one for their future and they trust the club! We have signed Le Fee who was such a coup most of football noticed! On the pitch is good to watch (sometimes we fall a bit short) and it's built for the long run not the short fix! This club is in better hands than it's ever been. I for one think it's class at the minute!
Well **** me, catching up with this thread has been a rollercoaster. Simon Adingra?! Got to admire the gall of Speakman to negotiate like that, even if it's not going to come off. Sounds like there's still a good chance we lose Watson today to me, but the club will be scrambling for a left wing option to cover that eventuality. I've not seen much of McAteer to be honest, but trust the club implicitly. I still think RW is a position we actually want someone in. I wouldn't be totally shocked if we make a permanent bid for McAteer and find another loan for the left with Watson leaving. So much could happen before that window slams shut.
I do agree but we're still looking to bring in someone that can play right across the front and Aouchiche can do that. Mind, I rate the lad higher than Le Bris does and if he doesn't trust him then you're right, it's not fair on the lad to keep him around. I actually personally think we have enough either way - Mundle, Watson, Mayenda and Poveda can all play from the right if need be - but I know most would like an upgrade there.
“No where near” this is a bold statement mate, for a team that has been there or there abouts and has people coming back from injury
But we’re not short.. not by any means. we are possibly in the healthiest we’ve been in seasons. we only need a couple of fresh legs in. 8 point off top 5 from 2nd 3 from 3rd and ten points of 4th.
Strongly disagree. Our potential depth goes a long way beyond what RLB is likely to use, in my view GK Patterson Moore Blondy DR Hume O'Nien Seelt DC Mepham Ballard O'Nien Seelt Hjelde DL Cirkin O'Nien Hume Hjelde DM Neil Samed Bellingham MC Bellingham ELF Neil Browne Rigg Jones AM ELF Rigg Aleksic Jones RW Roberts Mayenda Rigg Poveda Mundle Watson LW Mundle Watson ELF Aleksic Isidor Mayenda ST Isidor Mayenda Danns Abdullahi Ogunsuyi
Agree. Have to assume that this means the injury prognosis on Mundle and Watson is better than we think
