No, but Joelinton has the right attributes.

 

Kelly has played 13 games in been awful in pretty much all of them, and definitely worse than our other CBs, hence he was never close to being first choice.

£35m was a great deal for Anderson at the time, he's took his game up to a much higher level since, but at the time, we got a good price for him. He had to go because we needed the money and he was a saleable asset, plus he wasn't getting into the first team and still wouldn't be now.

 

He certainly hasn't started 13 games.

I keep saying this, but he hasn't had a run of games, which would allow any reasonable judgement to be made.

He was clearly just brought in with the sole intention of selling him.

Anderson would get in this team at times for sure.

 

Anderson, we clearly got an extra £15m for the lad to compensate for chucking them £20m for a **** goalkeeper. And in terms of getting in THIS team, no, he wouldn't because Howe would not play to his strengths, never really knew where to put him and he was always going to be behind Bruno/Joelinton/Tonali.

I'm pleased it's worked out for him, mind, but Forest are punching well above their weight thanks to a number of players bedding in so quickly, and Matz Sels unfathomably becoming a good 'keeper.

As for Kelly, he was average at B'mth and was no better when he got here. He, Ruddy, Odysseas, Osula and Kelly represent one of the worst transfer windows I've ever witnessed at this club. It's not quite Vurnon Anita, but it's not too far off. Once Kelly's gone, the rest have about an hour of game time between them. Shockingly poor, PSR or not.

Patience - it's running thin, when the last "major" signing was ****ing Barnes.

 

Ironically the reason they aren't spending now is because they didn't want to lose Anderson or Minteh, and they've learned from it, otherwise the same might have to happen with Miley.

You're spot on about how Anderson was used because he was being used as a dogs body. He didn't just suddenly become good over the summer.

Everyone who got a hard on over 35 million(me included) must surely now understand why having him and not Longstaff would've been advantageous.

This is what I'm saying..look at wood and Anderson for example. I have realised that these forced PSR sales are far from ideal.

If other clubs want them that's for a reason. Many of us thought they were ****, so I'm thinking Kelly isn't **** either.

 

I can't believe Marcus Edwards has gone to Burnley on loan with an obligation to buy for just 8mil if they get promoted. I've always been impressed with him whenever I've watched Sporting Lisbon play in Europe and considering we're severely short at RW now it would've been a no-brainer signing for a talented English winger for a minuscule fee considering we just sold Miggy for more...

 

Perhaps there's something about the physicality over here? Looks very sharp.. Does he help defend?

 

Absolutely thought this earlier. It's so low risk, and for us with **** all else, I am now starting to be ****ing flabbergasted by the utter absence of any kind of scouting whatsoever.

Mitchell has one Summer to turn this around because thus far he looks like a ****ing abysmal appointment.

This player is 26 and if you're playing for Sporting I'd expect better numbers. I suspect he's a bit lightweight for here and does he help defend??
