Turnbull on his way back and Ramsey - although he’s possibly only now playing again to be match fit for Wales
We tried for Rashford but he wanted a guaranteed starting place. As we've got Meite in the squad, Riza felt he was being unreasonable.
Yep, can't see anyone else coming in, but what we have brought in looks decent and all our outgoings so far make sense too. With others returning to fitness too we should be ok... Just have to get back on another unbeaten run again now.
Time for OS to shelve this one as the days now count down to the summer window. Will we then be looking for players to get us promotion back to the championship or to sustain another relegation battle therein? Who will be the gaffer trawling the market though………..?
Give us a chance to pick over the bones of the free agents. A few interesting names in there. Not sure we need further additions though. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/67-free-agents-cardiff-city-30933596
Looked through there quickly and could't see any players that might be attractive to us unless we needed emergency cover. Looking at the ages of over half of them, early to mid 30's, they are just trying to eke out another year or two in wages. What the list does is bring home is how short and fragile players' careers can be. Where do they go when they hang their boots up? Some might make it into punditry and some go into coaching but for many they have to find completely new careers. And the old favourite of publican has long gone with so many closed.
In late 80’s I was in a pub in Yorkshire and asked the barman if he’d mind putting the football on the tv. He said fine and we got chatting during which he asked where I was from. Stating Cardiff he modestly said he used to play a bit and Cardiff was one of his teams. Not recognising him I was intrigued to know who he was. Graham Moore was the answer.
85 appearances for City scoring 23 goals during 1957-1961. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_Moore_(footballer) Just a bit before my time, but Masky will remember...........
