He's been the most solid of the CBs. Less flair, but more solidity. You need that balance at the back. It would be a shame if he did go.

Cut price???? The very cheek of 'em... He's worth at least a lump of coal and a lifetime supply of Hovis the cheeky beggars...
Just thinking about the Etete situation. With the other strikers in the squad, next year he's still going to struggle to get in the team. Might be a shrewd bit of business by the board. If he does step up a gear we have a player who might make a difference for us. Or if he still cant get in, maybe Bolton will want to buy him. If not, we've lost nothing, let him go on a free.
Sounds positive. Leicester City boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has confirmed Will Alves will be joining Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season.
Reindorf off................... https://www.footballinsider247.com/...l-reindorf-undergoing-bristol-rovers-medical/
“Subject to international clearance.” Ok his surname hints at Spanish but he was born and bred in Leicester. Aren’t City part of the FA pyramid or as we’re not in England do different rules apply?
Just a thought. Just watched Alves initial interview on the club's website. He says he sees himself as a creative player who can play at No. 10. Given Riza knows this lad and is prepared to to gamble on him, I can't see him sitting on the bench for long, if at all. Given his below standard (I won't say poor in case it offends ) efforts recently, where does that leave Colwill especially if Ramsey is nearing a return? Has Riza run out of patience and possibly belief with the lad because I can't think of any other position he suits?
I think he needs a quick kick up the jacksy, there is a player in there but he needs to wake up or he will be bench warming for a while.
We have a number of players that can do a job in a variety of positions. Play Alves out wide with Robertson at 10. Play Alves at 10 with Robertson at 8. Robinson at 10, Salech up front, Robinson at 8 and Alves out wide. It gives all sorts of options to start a game and all sorts of options off the bench. Assuming the dealing is done, it all comes down to what tunes Riza can play. Its probably as strong and as balanced a squad as we've had for a while. Essential with games coming thick and fast.
