It's deadline day, we need a left back far more and we already have five loans. Unless Burns goes back, we can't put any more loans in our matchday squad and it would hinder us from bringing in a left back on loan.
I don't mind signing Egan if Burns is going back and we bring a left-back in on loan but we absolutely need a left-back. We don't need Danns either.
If Egan's coming in on a permanent to allow Burns to go back and freeing up a loan spot for a left-back, it makes more sense.
Where have people heard that Burns is going back? I thought he was injured and that's why he wasn't in the squad?
There were some rumours at the start of the window and he’s about to become 5th choice CB. It also makes sense if we need to free up a loan spot
Egan looks a good signing to me. Experienced, strong character, knows the league. Only been at Burnley for four months so will retain eagerness for a new challenge.
hmmm, seems like 2+2=5 to me. I think he plays over Macca and I don't see why Baz wouldn't just say he was going back like he's said Smith is going out on loan.
Not Sure Egan is a loan and he improves us defensively. A LB who wants to come would be useful as well - but I hope we don't just sign a LB for the sake of it and end up with Giles 2.0
