Funny game football. We have 2 wins all season and we didn't 'deserve' to win either of them <laugh>

Yep, we've played far better in other matches than we did vs Everton and Ipswich.

Maybe if Utd, West Ham and Newcastle all played in blue, we'd have been sitting alongside Wolves right now.

Don’t care about not ‘deserving’ a win. There are always games that we get nothing, yet deserved something. This season I wouldn’t mind the opposition gifting us points…few own goals, an easy penalty, a VAR crazy decision. All the same to me at the moment…bring it on.

8 out of the last 8 victories have been against teams wearing boots

Watching the extended highlights Ipswich were so much better than us. They played through our midfield time and again.

I don’t even think it’s the lack of goals, we need a Romeu type player and decent box to box midfielder

Their finishing was crap, and their keeper had a nightmare. On the other hand we were clinical and Ramsdale did his job. So fair's fair.

But yeah the way they sliced through us was massively concerning. I still haven't gotten over the mauling Brentford gave us, so watching the same vulnerable midfield isn't easy viewing.

Yeah true. Against better strikers it would have ended 3-1 or 4-1

Am I right in thinking we've scored in every game since Brentford?

8 of our last 8 CBs have been wearing diving boots.

Yep. Going from Romeu to Downers is a hell of a downgrade. Same amount of yellow cards with none of the pitch presence

    Southampton v Burnley

    Referee: Will Finnie
Assistant referee: Mark Scholes and James Wilson
    Fourth official: Tom Reeves

Will Finnie Since becoming a Football League referee in 2017, the 30-year-old whistler has officiated over a century of EFL matches across the Championship, League One and League Two as well as overseeing last season's FA Vase final at Wembley Stadium.

Making his Championship debut in April 2024 during Millwall's 3-1 home win against Cardiff City, the Bedfordshire-born official handed out a total of seven red cards during 40 matches last season across League One, League Two, Carabao Cup and the EFL Trophy.
