Mate... there is a vast chasm of difference between a player who has a few poor games compared to a player who is clearly not making a geniune effort to put in a shift. His work ethic was non-existent against Wolves, he wasn't even trying to get himself into any scoring positions with exception to one attempt inside the box where he looked like he actually cared for a moment.

I will reserve judgement on Bendtner until I have seen how he plays under Martin O'Neill as it could have been Eric Black that was asking Bendtner to sit on the wings for most of the game, bearing in mind he was the mastmind behind bring on Elmo for Ji. Hopefully we see the player we know he can be and very soon as we don't have time to carry a player who isn't interested. We saw it in Gyan and we saw it in Muntari... You cannot carry ONE player who isn't interested at this level and expect to compete.

Bendtner will continue to look “lazy” all season if the ball is continued to be played in front of him. You hear these spouts all the time for other players even from commentators about berbatov and Ibrohimavich they did not get to were they are from being lazy. I do actually despise the comment there not putting effort in.

The same Berbatov who cost about £30 million and spends most of his time on the bench at Man U?

Like I said, I will reserve judgement on Bendtner until he has played a few games under the guidance of Martin O'Neill. However if we see the same level of commitment to the cause that we witnessed on Sunday then as I was with Steve Bruce, I will make my views very clear as will those who bemusingly agree with myself, that Bendtner's lack of effort on Sunday was bordering a disgrace and completely unacceptable. Do you think we are on his back just for the fun of it?? It is a possibility that Eric Black asked Bendtner to sit on the wings so I will bear that in mind however there were occasions when Ji was desperately looking for a strike partner to make himself available and it took the likes of Cattermole and Colback to show before he had an option... How can you expect to build a successful counter-attack when your striker partner is hugging the touchline on the right wing?

I think you unintentionally strive to pick out a scapegoat and your passion for Sunderland football club may make you go over the top in your assessment of a player.

I can assure you that anything I say is spoken with utmost consideration/intention and just incase you havn't noticed, there are several other supporters who also noticed that Bendtner displayed minimal commitment to the cause against Wolves.

Like I said, which you appear to have disreguarded, I will reserve judgement on Bendtner until he has played a few games under a fit and proper manager.

    Long live Martin O'Neill.
