It’s unlike us not to have the bare bones of what we need in terms of squad depth. Anyone think Dragusin’s injury is worse than first thought, hence talk of a second CB?
He hyperextended his knee, that much was obvious on replay. It could be anything from 2-3 weeks to about 3 months depending on just how much it got extended and what may or may not have torn cartilage-wise in the process. As we're chasing a second CB after Danso, unfortunately I think it's likely leaning towards the latter extent for Radu.
Disasi has apparently said no. Excellent news. Don't rate him at all and I am sick of Chelsea rejects polluting our club.
unless it’s succession planning (with Romero leaving in the summer potentially), 5 feels like a lot, seeing as Gray and Davies can both play there. Then again, we have got about 9 wingers
Davies' contract is up in the summer, so we were going to be looking for LCB cover sooner or later anyway Also means we can play Davies LB if needs be for the rest of the season
Seeing various reports that Kevin Danson has failed a medical at Juventus recently due to heart issues, that were also picked up by Roma (I believe?) last summer.
That’s not difficult. Dragusin has been poor. I’m not convinced he will be at Spurs for long. Complete wrong fit for Ange’s style.
A shame, but I would tend to agree with you on this. A "square peg in a round hole" springs to mind...
I still think we'd struggle to find better for that price, but I hope Danso proves me very wrong. In other news, Dragusin's injury has been described as 'very serious', although he was able to walk off the pitch relatively unaided so hopefully this isn't a season ender.
Apparently we’ve had a bid rejected for Guehi in the last 48 hours. also apparently keen on Joao Felix, but Chelsea don’t want to strengthen a viral. so many names in a matter of days. where was this effort for the first 4 weeks of January?
We could've brought in Danso a month ago but didn't so that we could save £4m...which is probably what we'll lose out on anyway for finishing lower down in the league thanks to having a winless January. In fairness, the panic for a second CB is due to the unexpected severity of Dragusin's injury and the fact that Romero's return has been pushed back. Our failure to add an attacker is unforgivable and once again we resemble the lonely drunk staggering from bar to bar at closing time.
Lens were looking to cover their FFP deficiencies four weeks ago, which is why they had Jorge Mendes on call for any deals involving Danso or Khusanov That is why we didn't sign him four weeks ago, because at best the fee would have ballooned - at worst Mendes would've looked to shaft us again
The Lange effect, mate. Wasn’t actually working in silence in those first 4 weeks as some theorised, he just wasn’t working at all.
