Remember, It's easy to look like a poor player when you are managed by total incompetence.

Martin O'Neill said himself that he is happy with the squad that he has to work with for this season and I'm sure 2 or 3 may come in during January to strengthen key areas.

Martin O'Neill may well be able to garner that little extra out of the players that we have at our disposal which may well be just enough to ensure that we survive in the premier league. The fans role is very important at this point... It was all to easy to become very miserable under Bruce's guidance due to his very poor selections but we must not let our memories of his incompetence be associated with the players that will be running out against Blackburn under Martin O'Neill. It is a new start and the object for this season is survival.

We need to wait and see how these players perform under a fit and proper manager before we ask questions such as who will be leaving first.

These are the players who can save our bacon and they need our fullest support.

    I'm pleased you agree.

I will be supporting the team as I always have and always will. Fortunately, there isn't any specific area of the club that I'm unable to support at this point in time. We have the best structure we have ever had, a structure that would make most other fans look on with envy.

Nothing wrong with a rally call Syd... If you are wondering why I have posted this thread then I will point you to another current thread, which interestingly enough, is recieving more replies than this thread....

"Who will be the first to go" Doesn't sound like a fan providing full support to me... Although your reply in that thread is the correct reply.

As a "supporter", I always feel that it is my duty to support the team vocally to the best of my ability for the duration of the game...If there are quetions to be asked about players performances, then I believe that during a game is not the time to do this..

Perhaps as humans we are destined to be forever in a state of infighting... It is much easier for us older folk to come up with the most accurate decisions however the stadium is also occupied by young kids of whom a large majority will be drinking beer for most of the weekend. That is the nature of the world we live in and the type of psychology that is apparent in the forms of entertainment that are pursued by the working classes!

Perhaps in the afterlife we will be unified in thought! :emoticon-0150-hands

I will be very happy on Sunday. No Catts/Colback central midfield partnership (Oh! and a Sunderland supporter in the dug out instead of a mag) FOOKING BLISS.

Steve Bruce has kept you fairly comfortably away from relegation for 2 or 3 years, you are above the relegation zone this season, you hated Bruce, and if Martin O'Neill keeps you up on goal difference most of you will be singing his praises <doh> win win for O'Neill I think, can't believe you criticised Bruce for the same thing that you will congratulate O'Neill for.

How did nobody take the name 'Sunderland' before now?
It seems such an obvious choice seeing it used in this post.
