On talent alone he is worth more, imo.

I'd suggest at this stage of the window and with how posts on here and otr have gone there's a fair few will love Watson to go just so they can batter the club.

Considering where we are this year and the business we have done, it's quite sad to read

haven’t seen many on here wanting him to go. If anything people have been saying we’ve treated him well.

But they cant control what comes out at the other clubs end. I agree we control our own narrative now, but there are plenty of leaks elsewhere in football.

Tbh if Tommy wants to play I'd let him... push Mundle wide right and drop Roberts

I think it remains a bit higher tbh. Probably around £12m needed. A chunk of that would be needed to equalise out the wage difference. And then there’s the hit on their books. In truth that’s too much money for a champ club to be spending on a player. However the advantage is that we’d know he’d fit seamlessly back in - and the likelihood is that if he decides to come back, he’ll never want to leave again!

Another thing to consider.. if they’re holding out for these figures for Watson what will they value Jobe, Rigg and Hume etc at?

Some people turn absolutely everything into a negative ...

... it's bizarre how supporters can have such a downer on their own club tbh.

Pointy end of negotiations mate. I suspect that news is from our end, and intended for a specific reason.

If we wanted to we could have shut this down quickly. We did in the summer. Sadly I think there will be a deal to be done, buy rightly we know what his value is and will only do it at that price.

I’m not trying to be unduly negative, just getting a replacement at short notice could be tough

You said, yesterday, Brighton hadn't met our valuation at £10 ... what is our valuation?

If we don’t get anyone signed watch the witch-hunt of getting rid of KLD/KS begin

There has been posts on here saying we have treated him well, then posts saying we offered piss poor wages. Same as yesterday's runour that's become fact that he's pushing for the move.

If he goes the narrative will be he wanted to go and we are penny pinching / won't pay wages.

It will be even worse if we don't win tomorrow and don't sign at least 3 players

Despite Watson barely being part of the first team squad and probably wouldn't be but for injuries.

If he hadn't scored those goals, and played like he did at Preston, people would be accepting £5m as a good deal.

I think a lot of our fans have a habit of massively undervaluing our players. We’re sitting on some serious assets (whether they’re playing for us or being sold on).

I’d be disappointed mind if we let Watson and Adil leave and then brought in willock.
