We seem to be going man to man all over the pitch to me which is why THB went for it rather than it being a side of the pitch thing.
I said same thing in here at time of the goal, THB didn’t need to attack the ball/man but maybe it is because we were man marking & that was his man? Either way, Aribo or Ugo should have dropped in, but I think this is what is difficult about having both of those on the pitch. They’ve both been playing really well at the moment, but defensive positioning definitely doesn’t come natural to them & I’d argue that as Downes has been terrible, we could really do with a natural DM more than any other position atm
The crazy thing is that's also how Ipswich's recruitment team should have reacted to whenever watching him play for Burnley last season. Why on earth they decided to sign him, I have no idea. It gives me hope that there's an equally stupid side out there who would choose to buy Bazunu from us.
Good with his feet I’d imagine. Although he seemed to take ages everytime he had the ball yesterday. His kicks were good though, as someone mentioned a lot of the goal kicks were very flat which meant we regularly lost out on headers
Some of his worst errors with Burnley last season were with his feet. There were two weekends in a row where he conceded directly from his own kicking.
I lose count of the times he runs up to header, misses it and the opposition is in behind us. I’ve been hugely underwhelmed by him.
Good shout. There’s so many commentators trying to show they “know” when in fact they’re just lazy & mostly know FA. It happens so often i’m normally shouting at the TV or radio along the lines of, “do some ****ing research please”!
Dead right and for Sulemana too, aIso think there’s 6 Saints shirts in that penalty area? But the momentum to score such a CHANGE!!
Yup. My favourite recent one was Carragher after the Fulham (I think?) game asking why Juric was in the stands instead of taking charge of the game. He said something along the lines of "What's he waiting for?" and I was hoping somebody else in the studio would say "A work permit." but presumably none of them knew the answer either.
Another win against a team wearing blue. 7 of our last 8 Prem victories have been against blue teams.
