The East Stand is half empty before the final whistle when we are drawing or winning. Don’t notice swathes of empty seats at Elland Road. Plymouth scored in 88th minute yesterday. No one leaving early. Ours were walking out from the 83 rd minute when we were chasing an equaliser.
soon we have plymouth at home plymouth have literally 4 points away from home its the most home bankable game you could imagine i still wouldnt feel confident we would win
someone else said it, but if home fans are going to leave early at least make them have to go through the concourse instead of the hordes walking right next to the pitch to the corner exit
Sorry the block was fairly routine, that’s his job as is not scuffing clearances. I have been saying for weeks that Drameh is not good enough. At the start of the season, he had a superb game and then some average. Since then he seems to have had below average or shockers. He makes some shocking mistakes almost every game and yet for some reason, everyone seems very forgiving towards him. Coyle on the other hand, while not playing as well as at the start of the season, is still a 7/10 most weeks and is getting pelters (mainly for his attacking play)
And why tf take Kamara off after effectively having just set up 3 decent chances?? Totally baffled me. Kamara was even more surprised. Just when he looked like he was building some confidence too.
A lot of us are wondering that. Maybe Acun insisted on seeing his 2 favourite signings play, or Barry at least?
3 subs at 55 felt like overkill, the game didn't look like it needed a massive shift of the dial. Edit: Gelhardt looks much better on the left too. Tbf Amrabat looked handy when he came on. Selles has a bit of a conundrum with the wingers now, which I guess is a good thing overall, but time is ticking.
You said he faded from the game though and Slater didn’t despite having less touches then Matazo playing 20 minutes more. I think people just want to see Slater as something he’s not because we’ve always had a grafter. He grafts don’t get me wrong but there is just no quality, on or off the ball. An occasional drive forward means nothing if you don’t do anything with it at the end of it
It was definitely too soon. We were all over them, Pedro was having a good game and looked like scoring, Joseph didn’t have any sort of affect really
I thought Slater should have been taken off, probably the first sub. Things just weren't coming off for him yesterday.
Which is why I think someone like Burstow should go out on loan as he really feels the lowest ranked attacker now other than perhaps Henrique.
Yes because he was still at the centre of our attacking moves at the end of the game and putting crosses into the box. He didn't fade.
It was the wrong substitutons for the players coming off. All that was needed at that point was Barry for Gerhardt, and Crooks for Slater. The Dremeh sub was down to his mistake in the first half but Coyle on current form offers nothing more and I’d only have brought him on if Dremah was injured.
That maybe the difference, being sort of able to leave but still see the game as they walk pitch side to the exit in the corner. Never noticed that at other grounds where you have to go through the stand to a concourse or exit at the back.
Remember one that was claimed by the keeper other than that he seems to really struggle not getting them blocked
I think Selles has a conundrum full stop, and I personally think that’s what ****ed us yesterday. Too many new choices and he wasn’t sure what to do with them all.
