Yep. It's probably bollocks like but no one player is bigger than what is right for the club, that goes for any of our players. You fight for your place, if you are good enough then you start. You don't make demands or ask for assurances as that will likely cause disharmony in the squad.
It wouldn't surprise me if we have had informal discussions with both Jobe and Rigg where they were given assurances about their playing time and Watson is trying to follow that path. Unfortunately for him, as good as he has the potential to be, they are in a different tier in terms of value to this club. I understand both perspectives and I don't think either are totally unreasonable. Watson is in a win-win situation, because Brighton is a great move for him in my opinion. Good luck to him, I hope he has a tremendous career (as much for our sell on as anything else) but I'm more confident than ever that the club we'll get the best deal they can and replace him well.
Going to be an interesting 36 hours...selling player/s, hopefully buying/loaning a player or 2 and maybe saying goodbye to first team coach....never boring at SAFC
I concur with what a lot of posters have said. If he isnt signing, get rid for the highest price. And for anyone thinking the owners are penny pinching, there must be a few villages missing some idiots
Re Dodds. If he does leave today then it's a good opportunity for him. He is definitely less front and centre now. Doesn't seem to be in the ear of RLB as much. He will have to perform better than when he was the main man here mind. Be interesting if he takes anyone else with him. Proc etc.
if that striker they have ends up at Luton then a six month loan for Trey Ogunsuyi could be a solid loan for him. I think that loan term he won’t be treating us as a feeder club for them as he will want to do his own thing but given the timeframe to get a replacement through the door it could be a good option.
Would like to see how trey copes in men’s football like, looks a big lad and scored against Halifax and Tamworth so no reason he couldn’t adapt for me
Hope this so called interest in Hume from Fulham is bollocks.....last thing we need is to lose him...if anything we need another full back as a back up..not a direct replacement
All be scheduled tweets. Wouldn’t read anything into it per se. Would be very surprised if anything gets announced today. Tomorrow will wild.
Depends on the contract, some coaches will have compensation amounts built into their contracts, some will also have that they can leave for free for a 1st team head coaches role
Pleased for Dodds if he does get the Wycombe job, it also reflects well on the club - we are a place for players and coaches to develop I'm hoping it means we have room to bring in another coach, be good to bring someone in with a cracking tactical mindset that can help us late in games or one with an attacking mindset to help against teams with low blocks
Haven't Fulham agreed a fee with another right back? Edit: they've bid for Roma right back called Celik
