This^^^ If you don't put teams away when you are on top, you know they will get chances at the other end at some point. We can't finish teams off at home

Another thing... in hindsight. all that stupidity last week in front of the City fans celebrating as if we had won something... instead of some applause and thanks and recognising there was an enormous amount to do... the manager should never have let that happen...

I thought we looked appreciably worse when Matazo went off and Coyle came on.

First goal Drameh has a mare, second goal Jacobs gets pulled in for the cross leaving his man in behind to cross and ultimately cost us. Seems the amount of goals we concede simply from fullbacks not doing their job is unsustainable. I fear unless we eventually sort this problem out we'll continue to concede soft goals, tbf if we'd have taken more then one chance when on top we'd have come away with 3 points, but the longer a team stays in it, the more chance the mistakes cost us.

'This gives us a bit of belief - Robins
Hull City head coach Ruben Selles told BBC Radio Humberside:

"I understand that fans will want to see more victories at home. It's frustrating for everyone. We are all in it together and if we were not getting the result we want I, and the team, need to do things better.

"We controlled for 42 minutes of the game and created enough situations to score a second goal. But that's the Championship - when you are in these situations you have to be ruthless and, unfortunately, we conceded a goal from one isolated action.

"Their two goals were disappointing so we need to speak to individuals and as a team about how we go through these moments.

"The second half was not as good as the first but we were still creating situations. "We did a lot of good things more than enough to get a result."

Stoke City boss Mark Robins told BBC Radio Stoke:

"We are in a situation where we've not won enough games so it's a bit of a confidence thing. This result gives us a bit of belief and showed what we can do.

"If you put that sort of effort in, the quality will come through. We have young players trying to find their way through but they've got the skill and got the ability.

"We didn't get going until they scored, which was too late. There is still loads to do and so much to get into but we are getting there.

"We passed the ball pretty well and defended pretty well when we needed to but I'm still looking for more."

We have half a dozen full backs of which none are consistently good enough for this level

We won a football match....the win will be safety, that will be the win. We aren't in 7th place aiming for the Play Offs, which might have prompted thats Kloppesque celebration, we're in a scrap. Last week and all the hyperbole in between meant **** all at about ten to 5 today.

Slater, Jones and McLoughlin have been here a while. We’ve won four games at home in a full calendar year under three different head coaches. I can’t see how that wouldn’t have an effect mentally on our senior players who have been around for that, especially two centre-halves and a midfielder who seems to panic whenever he gets into the final third whether it’s a pass or shot.

Yes it didn’t mean a lot at 10 to 5 today but we all enjoyed the moment last week and why shouldn’t we have??? Especially when as a City fan there haven’t been many moments like that to enjoy this season. Last Friday night was fantastic and after seeing us lose so many matches at BL over the years, I loved every second…knowing that we’d probably mess it up this week at home to Stoke and the normal post match feeling of frustration would return!

4 wins out of 22 at home in 2024 is absolutely abysmal whichever way you look at it.
