Fernandes was phenomenal today. Genuinely gets better every game and if we hold on to him he could become a Steven Davis/Schneiderlin level player for us.

Our midfield apart from him is too weak. Ripped open like a wet rizla again and again. Individually Ugo and Aribo have both improved significantly under Juric, but the two of them together in CM is asking for trouble.

Welington looks a decent purchase.

Onuachu, let's face it, was atrocious. Can barely hold the ball up, can't sprint/press, gives away needless fouls and offsides. Painful to watch.

Honestly with Archer between Sulemana and Dibling, we've got a decent front-three.

Ipswich looked dangerous throughout. Delap, Enciso and Hutchinson really caused us problems. Incredible we got all three points but after all their last minute goals, it feels so good.

Hope we've got some fit defenders for next week.

 

Very amusing reading this thread after the game. My biggest take was tall Paul was lazy and useless....well it only takes a second folks

 

Just read through the thread. There's some great comments that turned out to be totally wrong but understandable given how crap we are.

Juric displays tactical genius by subbing Stephens on 56 minutes. Took him 10 minutes to assess how **** he was and told Stephens if he didn't want to be humiliated pretend to be injured.

I'm liking Bree in this role though. He's been very dependable. Back three is fine with me. It's not the formation, it's the personnel that needs tweaking.
