One of two things in my opinion:

The signing of Milenkovic has basically been Forest’s equivalent of van Dijk, he’s been the signing of the season for me. It’s culminated in them now having a superb defence and they already had decent players elsewhere, taking £50m for Johnson and buying two better wingers has helped, whilst we now get laboured with Johnson. Nuno also proving he’s a very capable and flexible manager.

Alternatively, they’re riding that wave of early positivity, similar to what Leicester did when they won the title.

They have a manager who is allowed to play to his strengths with players that fit his style of play.
Never got why he was forced to say he'd bring free flowing football back to spurs cos that weren't his style.
I'm pleased he's doing well with Forest cos he was treated poorly at our place by the club.

Weirdly that was his style at Valencia, where he also played 3ATB (which is why Paratici reportedly pushed for him, as he insisted we should play that system), before he got more Portuguese over time at Wolves

Is this the most unpredictable volatile PL season ever?

Newcastle didn't score him to score goals

They scored him so he'd stop scoring goals for Burnley, as at the time Newcastle were slipping down the table and Burnley were gaining momentum
