Cant tell you how happy i am if thats true, ****ing love him tremendous player and will only get better
the only reason this has been done now is the club must be very confident of needing that other loan spot
Proven striker at this level, only 24 years old, and reportedly under £5m in the summer I believe? Brilliant business safc
I absolutely love that and I love Isidor, what a good footballer and character. He fits well here. Even more excitingly, the only real logic behind this is that we want 2 more loan deals over the line!
Great business by the club. No real reason to do it now, unless as others have already said it's to free up his loan spot. Welcome home jack Clarke?
Very rare Sunderland make a direct loan to permanent. Last one I remember was probably Elmo a million years ago. Clarke went back to Spurs and we went in with a separate bid. Coates the same at Liverpool. Makes it more sweet it mid season aswell. Gets rid of all the chew in the summer of us wanting him, other clubs bidding, dragging on all summer. Love it.
I have very little doubt that we’d be in the mix again next year. Getting Isidor done gives more confidence though. Plenty of growth and ability for a potential champ run next season in our striker pool.
Don’t think it’s worth a discussion yet but if we don’t go up there is a potential of a bit of a turnover in players in the summer. This sorts the starting striker out if that ends up being the case. Really good to have that sorted
I’m so pleased with Wilson signing permanently. He clearly loves it here and he’s a player who I think could step up to the Premier League if we were promoted. It also frees up a loan spot.
exactly. No “we need a main striker” chat all summer. This is awesome for more reasons than just freeing up a loan spot
