I have often thought that England play the same boring stuff that City tend to think is the right way to bring in the punters. Shocking at least but it will remain the same no matter what we mere minions want and think.
I’m sure putting in £15 million every year must be a joy for him. Gave them the funds and what did the recruitment and Tinnion come up with. Fally and Armstrong. I bet SL is tamping at that **** up.
I admired Tinnion when he was a player but his apparent dealings in the transfer market are quite shocking to say the least. Don't you think that if you put in the same effort and end results at your day job unemployment would soon follow? This constant underperformance has to be one of the biggest failures in our supposed intent to move the club to better things and the same names come up over and over again and it begs the question as to why anyone involved still has a job. I would suspect that any player targeted to join us would run for the hills or take us for a joke when it comes down to ambition and effective management. Essentially we are now a full time member of the "what do I do next" club and I am starting to get sick and tired at the wholesale incompetence from our leaders, so go and find someone who knows what the hell they are doing and let them do their work unhindered by others who think they know more.
Isn’t it Funny that Wells, who’s now been with us 5 Years, is probably playing his best football, works his socks off and never moans when he gets pulled. Wasn’t the same under Nige.. but doing great hope he signs an extension
'No ambition' - Why it's not that simple for Bristol City ahead of transfer deadline day Bristol City are yet to make a single signing in the January transfer window ahead of Monday evening's deadline https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/no-ambition-its-not-simple-9907575 "Genuinely what are we doing? Absolutely no ambition in this football club. We are three points off the play-offs."
It’s in stark contrast to every other club around us, all of which, to one degree or another are at least trying to have a go. It’s embarrassing, really embarrassing.
Lame excuses don't sit well with me and after hearing the same bleating for way too long I am ready to give up on Bristol City. Hearing many people claiming we have little or no ambition rings so true and the total lack of anything going on in the transfer window, other than outgoing loans, re-enforces those statements beyond any question. When I look around at what some other clubs are doing to boost their chances going into the last knockings of the season makes me ask why, other than financial concerns, we can't or won't at least have the ambition that Lansdown talks about all the time to go for what has been touted for way too long. Here's hoping that what is left of our squad can up the ante and at least keep us respectable for the rest of this campaign but based on the poor quality of our performances, both team and individual wise, I doubt we will have enough left in the tank for the job at hand. Will next season be full of promises followed by excuses and lousy play on the pitch, or will a miracle come our way which we have been waiting to happen since Noah was a lad.
Bristol City confirm Ephraim Yeboah exit as forward completes loan move to Scottish Championship Ephraim Yeboah has again left Bristol City on loan after his spell with Doncaster Rovers was cut short in December https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...s/bristol-city-confirm-ephraim-yeboah-9909814
Don’t see the point to buy for the sake of, surely need to be better than we’ve got already.. maybe the odd decent loan for a few months makes more sense
bit of a quirk same date last season Midds v Sunderland! my philosophy is if we sell a good player [ like we did Josh ] then we need to replace with someone almost as good that grow in value or last out that season. It is only natural if you are in a team and doing quite well then a new player comes in some in the team might feel threatened or believe just one or two bad moments that would usually have little effect on being picked for next game could prove very negative! WHY SPOIL THE CART AT THE MOMENT! the league is not strong??? or very strong!!!! which reflects in the compactness of about 12 -14 teams 2024 [ 30 games ] ............ 5th 0n 48 pts ........ 8th on 44 ...........18th on 33 ....21st on 31pts 2025 [ 29 games ] ............ 5th on 44 pts ....... 8th on 41 ...........18th on 31 ... 21st on 29pts
I don't quite know yet how many of our league competitors but a quick look tells me are about dead last in the purchasing department. Plymouth, Oxford, Millwall, Coventry, Blackburn, West Brom, Portsmouth, Sheff.Wed, and Swansea are just a few I spotted today. A couple of them dished out a record fee to get their man and I bet by the end of the window quite a few more transactions will certainly be done, and that begs the question as to what Bristol City will do and I know we have had that message rammed down our throats in no uncertain manner. Several of those clubs I mentioned have brought in more than one player and one or two may even get in around 2 or 3 to round out their dealings to boost their squads to either try and avoid a relegation fight or a have shot at the play-offs. The only thing we look like doing is to send out our new sharp shooter so he can get some experience elsewhere and based on that I want to know what the heck whoever did the deal was thinking in the obvious fog during scouting. Did anyone bother to look at his history and ask the questions about his pedigree because in my books it is one of the biggest misspending since Massengo and a whole bunch of other flops. Shameful I reckon.
Have a bit of faith, I’m sure we will bring in a young exciting striker to put the fear of god into championship defences
