20 years of underinvestment in the game by the WRU, exacerbated by the negative approach to the Regions by Lewis and Phillips - which I experienced first hand from Phillips - has brought us to this.
In many respects, Wales played better than I expected. We defended better and the set piece was better than I expected but crucially we didn’t look like scoring which is a huge issue. France were much stronger than us - also as I expected. The referee? In my view, his performance was embarrassing at times. France didn’t need his help ….. they were far too good.
Ireland v England today? I’ll have to change from my Stone Island into my brown M&S shoes and crap jeans quickly after the football.
Watched last night in a pub with a mate...I'm a quarter welsh so kept quiet, buying a round at half time I noticed another chap quietly sitting at the bar with a Wales scarf on. Not a fun night, compounded by the chap sitting opposite us knocking over his pint and spilling it all down my friend's trousers.
Ireland handling looking good, England conceding too many penalties, already 1 off with yellow card....
