As the hours tick down I wouldn't rule it out. No signings tomorrow and Sunday could well.add 250 pages of speculation and panic
Idk mate i think prehab and smug could go around in circles for at least another 200, heres to hoping - i look forward to reading it all in the morning
Jobe will stay, for me. Gentleman's agreement bollocks is a case of unwritten buy out clause, if one club hits the high note, the others have to. Hope AA does well at Pompy, helps them sink Leeds and finds a move that benefits us. Its like Love Thy Neighbour on this board, without the race stuff.
Have to say I'm sceptical of that. What if Jobe had grown a foot and 10 kilos of pure muscle and scored 78 goals prior to the January window opening. Would that arbitrary number still be the number?
There’s certainly no panic here. We’re in a good place, unlike previous windows when we’ve been desperate
Getting rid of people who aren’t suitable is normal in all professions not just football , if your manager thinks you are not to the standard he needs what does he do if you can’t be improved to the level he needs or he has a more suitable alternative is when the parting company scenario comes in to play .
Nothing better than loading up this site and seeing 5 unread pages. I always think it might be a new link but it's normally some petty argument
We are in a brilliant place, 4th in the league, players coming back from injury, a united squad and management team what's not to love
And no way any club would accept the first offer they get, especially in the middle of a season. It's nothing we didn't know before, we have good players other clubs would like to sign ... big deal.
People ‘knew’ the Jacky fee allegedly didn’t they. They didn’t. They still don’t. Somewhere between 16 & 23 and half a Dickson plate pie or some ****. Jobe is far more valuable than Jacky. That’s fact and the club know that. He is the crown jewel and by far the most saleable asset. The Jobe fee will set the table for several later deals. 23 would be suicidal.
Boy ****ing chunder. That said, feel for the lad. He is a good player and actually fit would be major for United.
I said earlier, all this talk of what a player is worth means nothing. The club will have a value which would be a big return on investment, and any player is only worth what a club is willing to pay for him. I'm not worried, Jobe was always going to move on eventually and I have faith in the clubs recruitment these days.
