They’d have a chance in the play offs if they weren’t tragic at the back. Can see them giving a good push but think they’ll fall short. Coventry got more of a chance of making it if anyone’s to catch Boro/WBA imo. Since Lampard took over their forms been pretty much identical to ours in his 12 games, picking up just 1 less point.
https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...erland-plot-ambitious-transfer-swoop-30906254 The report claims Sunderland are in more advanced talks than the Clarets to sign Edwards this month, with Le Bris keen to bolster his forward line this month. It comes after Black Cats entered negotiations with fellow Championship side Portsmouth for midfielder Adil Aouchiche.
Marcus Edwards will have Premiership offers surely, I can't see him dropping down here unless we find out his favourite youth team coach is now incharge of Leeds or something.
Nah i don't tbh, I've asked a couple contacts in Portugal if they've heard anything but not had anything back Edwards was player quite a few PL teams were looking at last season but his lack of minutes this season will impact his chances of a PL move Just don't think loan deals are ever as simple as 'they play in a higher league so they'll get him', all comes down to 2 things - the financial side and then playing time
Away from not playing as much, he has dropped off in level from the player he was a couple seasons ago. Definitely needs a new environment and a lot of those linked premier league teams... Aren't exactly a positive environment.
Yeah barely kicked a ball this season and wouldn't start for any of the PL sides he's been linked with Feel it might be out of price range tho, wouldnt be surprised to see him stay abroad
I'd love Dan Neil to have signed but the timing feels off. Feels like something that might happen after window shuts in February though
Sure he's had stuff right before. Lines up with multiple posters on here hearing that he might have yesterday too
