Sheffield U...0-3...Hull How on earth did that happen.....Cooper picking the ball out of the net three times.....he must be in shock. Worst still Hull are one of the teams we would of expected to climb above......with our embarrassing goal difference it means we are now 8pts from safety......and we are away to Sunderland tomorrow.....we need to beat them just to stand still......Hull score three goals in one match.....we score three goal away in half a season.....so how do we get out of this mess....losing are so called best players and not being able to get in the players we want. We're doomed Mr Mainwaring...we're doomed.
Well I saw a few moments of this. Hull have got this new striker they signed from Leeds. He looked quite useful…….
Well, we had a bucket full of goals but not in last night's 0-0 Super Match, so the points haul from that game was relatively low. Three people won points on Total Goals: Joe was 3 goals over while Plym and Sensible were 3 under. An one-off special achievement award ought to go to Sensible, who confidently predicted Sheffield United 3-0 Hull City which actually ended Sheffield United 0-3 Hull City. We all put Sheffield United down to win, so it's not really mockery of Sensible but a good example of how competitive this division is! Those three goals did get him the Goal Total Points though! Plym is quietly disappearing into the distance. Lyndhurst was otherwise occupied and only managed to get a prediction in for Burnley v Leeds United. I did put it in Lyndhurst but like the rest of us, you backed the wrong team. Musty is now up with the pack and has been scoring strongly: beware.
To reiterate: tonight's game is Portsmouth v Millwall not Burnley v Millwall as I mistakenly led you to beleive. If you want to change your forecasts, please do so today.
This is what I have: Everyone EXCEPT SMH now has a forecast that explicitly refers to "Portsmouth" - his still refers to Burnley. However, as you can see, everyone including SMH, but excluding Sensible, is going for a home win, so even if his forecast is based on an incorrect comparison, it doesn't seem he will be disadvantaged if it stays as it is.
That’s life as Ester Rantzen used to say. Portsmouth 0-1 Swansea, so none of us have troubled the scorer and we’ll pretend it never happened. On to the next round….
Is Swansea the new name for Millwall.....we do know that no one likes them but isn't that a step to far.....Swansea aren't that bad are they ?
The next round starts on Friday 31st Jan at 8pm and trundles through to Monday evening. This will be the 30th game for all teams, which is as near as damn it means it's 2/3 complete. We'll therefore have double points and two jokers. The closest matched pairing I can find is Swansea City v Coventry City so that will be the Super Match. Blackburn Rovers - Preston North End Oxford United - Bristol City Plymouth Argyle - West Bromwich Albion Watford - Norwich City Derby County - Sheffield United Hull City - Stoke City Leeds United - Cardiff City Millwall - Queens Park Rangers Portsmouth - Burnley Sheffield Wednesday - Luton Town Swansea City - Coventry City Middlesbrough - Sunderland Another fore-warning is neccesaary. I presume that because it's the FA Cup 4th Round on the weekend of Saturday 8th February, there appears to a group of 9 league matches commencing on Tuesday 4th February, starting with Burnley v Oxford United and running through to Sunday 9th with Bristol City v Swansea City . One of those, Cardiff City v Hull City, has already been postponed! We then start again on Tuesday 11th! It gets worse doesn't it?
