I only watched the first 2-3 minutes and gave up. Is there a way to get google translate subtitles added?

    Shame about Man City.
Don't they have to win to open up a 5th Champions league spot?
    Useless ****s.

Personally think the new format lack cohesion, and relevance. Its difficult and therefore uninteresting to follow, there’s very little real jeopardy, and what’s transpired is all the crap teams are out, so it’s been a fairly sizeable waste of time, for little reward,

The media have been heavily encouraged to big it up, but that just makes it look desperate on top of everything else. No idea where European football goes from here.

Don't mind it tbh, easier to follow than all the mini groups.

Yes when you look at the standings it’s not really changed anything.

Other than Man City nearly went out. But that would have happened under the old format with that 10 game blip they had.

    It’s a mess really.

It's boring... The games don't carry as much significance as the group games.. It's OK to lose couple this way which is exactly why they've done it.

Just another way to make sure the leaches don't drop off.

I completely understand I'm stuck in the past of the European Cup, and this new format isn't designed for me. But it's now just a European Super League, so for me it isn't far off what is the right kind of layout but just reduce the numbers - there's far too many clubs involved.

If they just increase the qualifier matches and half the league size so the Champs, Europa and Conference each have 18 instead of 36 it'd be way easier to follow. Nobody can tell me we'd miss the likes of Noah, Young Boys, Qarabag, etc. Have all that lot play an extra round to get into the final 18.

We wouldn't but they would for revenue and experience of playing against top teams. I suspect this new format is very good for the less established leagues and teams...

Lol, when Rangers are in the automatic qualification places, you know the Europa league is bad.

They probably see it as the exact opposite. Giving them some respite from disastrous league campaigns and their only chance for CL qualification.
