Versatile forward is what i mean, I see that as a striker anyway, they need to fill in up top if possible
That's irrelevant in a sense though because we've already scouted him thoroughly, know that we like him and if reports of the loan to buy option is accurate - we even know that we are willing to pay money to own him permanently. So based on those factors, I'd say missing out because we're not prepared to pay now, might be just a bit too risk averse.
11 goals from 8.68 non-penalty xG this season, has missed a penalty though so will fit in here. Just based on stats looks as though he is a good finsiher and good on the ball, ranks high for succesful dribbles and touches in opposition box, a pretty average passer of the ball but just as expected for a striker, only seems to play number 9 so not versatile. Lots of tackles won and possession won in final third, ranks similarly to Mayenda for this and sounds like a pretty similar player. Just need the YouTube comp now but sounds like a fairly tall powerful runner who can finish although not dominant in the air
There has been great interest in the Bergen striker all winter. Now it has all materialized in a fresh bid, Nettavisen and BA are informed. According to what Nettavisen knows, at least three clubs have shown interest in the 23-year-old striker during the winter. The Italian Serie B club Sampdoria, which earlier in January announced its interest in Brann stopper Fredrik Pallesen Knudsen, the German Bundesliga club Holstein Kiel and Polish Lech Poznan are all showing interest in the striker. Nettavisen is not aware of how Brann views the fresh bid. The first two clubs are struggling at the bottom of their respective leagues, and therefore the Polish league leader Lech Poznan could also be of interest to the Brann striker. In Poznan, Heggebø is at least expected to play a central role, if he wants to make a name for himself as a Pole. According to what Nettavisen understands, the Polish league leader is very interested in signing Heggebø this winter. The window in Poland does not close until February 22, but the Poles are said to want to reach an agreement long before that due to players who could disappear.
Still totally relaxed. Think we bring in one more (a forward). If you think, we brought Connolly in as a free agent as we needed more support up top. We have since lost him and Rusyn, albeit with Wilson and Mayenda exceeding expectations. I’m not at all concerned.
I do agree. I think this idea of versatility is an important one. I think we just need another threat/option up there who can really impact games. I think we will get one in.
It's a tough call isn't it, not sure we can be dropping Isidor or Mayenda so it would have to be an impact player off the bench ... ... attracting someone good, to fill that role, wouldn't be easy.
Yeah, that seems to be why we appear to struggle to get deals over the line compared to other clubs - all the criteria that we want a player to match. The good thing is that we consistently get value for money from the players we bring in. Some are worth vastly more and then we don't lose a lot of money on the ones that don't work out.
this is Genuinely my mindset, if we don’t sign anyone else I really wouldn’t be overly concerned as I would be previous years. Of course it’s only natural to want more but I’m genuinely not concerned about the balance of the squad.
