Rangers in talks to sign Chelsea attacking midfielder Harvey Vale, agreed in principle & terms, can play as wing back & striker
QPR looking to seal deal to sign Vale from Chelsea By West London Sport 30/01/2025 QPR appear to be close to completing a deal to sign Harvey Vale from Chelsea. West London Sport revealed on the eve of the transfer window opening that Rangers were looking to bring in Vale along with Ronnie Edwards. Defender Edwards was subsequently signed on loan from Southampton, while Vale has been pursued by a number of Championship clubs this month. It now seems that the 21-year-old is heading to Loftus Road. Vale was on Fulham’s books prior to joining Chelsea nine years ago. He can play anywhere on the left – including left-back, which has been a problem position for Rangers – or in midfield. Vale has made six first-team appearances for Chelsea. He spent last season on loan at Bristol Rovers and prior to that was on loan at Hull. His Blues contract expires at the end of the season and he is expected to be allowed to move before the transfer window closes on Monday
Also, I'm assuming it'll be in the deal that he has to get a certain number of appearances. Which means one of our players will get shut out now?
What's with all the loan player clutching the badge nonsense Was he given a choice of where he ended up
Sheff Utd have signed Clarke from Ipswich which I guess means Dunne is staying unless anyone else shows an interest
Yeah I don't get this one tbh, no chance of a permanent signing so what's the point? It's not like the Ronnie Edwards deal which was amidst an injury crisis, we are short of cover for Smyth sure but so short we need to develop someone else's player?
Could be a bit of a gamble as he doesn't come with much of a pedigree and not sure how good his English is. Could be a wonder kid or a donkey! But at least we are now looking at young players and not those about to draw their pension.
Like most of us on here. Didn't you know we are all master tactitians who can tackle, shoot accurately, time our fouls to perfection when nobody's looking and take perfect corners an free kicks?
Interesting looking at the squad now, not quite as threadbare as it used to be now the younger players have started to prove themselves...
Agreed but maybe the central midfield is now the weakest link, with Dembele injured and Madsen appearing to have found the Championship a step too far.
