I get that but it would be nice to know. Always unsure about a player that has signed one, do they start shirking out of tackles so as not to ruin their new (and no doubt lucrative) contract. Not all clubs look after players like we did with Berrardi.
So the usual claim is they can't find better than what we have. Does anyone seriously believe we can't find better than Paddy. If they were being truthful it's that we can't afford any signings because that useless sod is robbing us of 2m a year. So we've to play second half of season with three strikers, one useless and unavailable permanently, Piroe who has a decent game in about every third game and Joseph who rarely scores
My take would be that any new signings need to be good enough for the premier league, finding better than what we have is going to cost the earth, or teams are not willing to sell or players not willing to drop a division, I do not see our rivals pulling up any trees
