No one knows the financial situation at Ipswich, I doubt anyone knows who the owners really are tbh ... ... they seem to be making things up as they go along.
Soon to be relegated and 'not England'. We could easily be swapping places with Leicester. Le Fée could've gone to loads of other clubs but chose Sunderland.
No serious player would move countries simply for a manager mate. We have a great reputation now and a very real chance of the PL playing good football.
That’s exactly why it was. He said so himself and even his agent did. He wanted to come here because Regis is here
If Regis was managing a league below or we were in the bottom 3 he wouldn’t be here. Of course it’s mainly that but not only that. It’s quite possible we go up this year because we have great young players. Le Bris will have sold the project and our performances have made ‘if we go up we pay the fee’ a possible reality.
What players say during 'the scarf photo' is pleasing waffle for the fans and the media. As you say there's no way a player like Le Fée would be going to Luton if Regis was there. The quality of our squad, stadium, facilities and staff has already attracted the likes of Jobe, Amad, Isidor, etc. Others are sure to follow.
Competing with Leicester and Marseille for Akpom doesn’t rule us out. Makes it more difficult, but far from impossible.
I'd hope you're right, mate, but it is something that needs to be considered. I've said before that I do believe in people playing devil's advocate and giving an opposing view at the very least so something is thought through fully.
You'd also have to consider that it would also look like an admission of a mistake by Ipswich, which could impact any future sale value if they want to move him on. A loan after coming back from injury could be understandable, but a loan due to poor form/not being able to settle? A club interested in taking him from them would certainly being in a better position to negotiate a smaller fee on those grounds.
Twitter, apparently they're after some kid but we're front of the queue. No idea where they've heard that though
