In our recent development squad 7-0 win we had trialist A & trialist B playing for us. Does anyone know who they are?
Now we can sell him for proper cash if all these moneybags want him. Great. I’d advise him against Spurs though.
Is close to signing I heard, but hasn't actually signed yet. He's an attacking midfielder who can also play as a winger Beth, not a CF unfortunately.
Trialist B who scored for the development side is Archie O Brien from Hertford Town. An England youth international. Another boy we ought to be signing
My Spurs mate says we’ve signed some Korean winger named Yang on loan. Good Korea move for the boy and other predictable jokes to come.
Unless someone is leaving. Not convinced Chair is 100% fit, Smyth got a knock the other day, Lloyd is suddenly the new Les rather than the new Trevor Sinclair so I wouldn’t say we’re totally awash with options and it pushes Ashby down a place for the right wing which has to be a good thing.
Appears we have signed another kid. Pre-contract this time Jaylan Pearman from Australia Perth Glory. Attacking midfielder. 18 years old. Joining in the summer
By David McIntyre 29/01/2025 QPR are set to sign South Korean winger Yang Min-hyeok on loan from Tottenham for the rest of the season. The 18-year-old arrived at Spurs last month – a deal was agreed during the summer for him to move to north London in January from Gangwon FC. Spurs are keen for him to get first-team experience as quickly as possible and he has immediately been made available for a loan move to Championship. He is primarily a right winger but can play on either flank. Meanwhile, summer signing Hevertton Santos is on his way out of QPR after seven months at the club.
Back-up for Smyth I guess and/or an alternative on the left. We need more pace and apparently Yang is quick.
18 year old Korean lad just landed in the UK? Sure we're not just being used as a vehicle to allow him to settle in and adapt? Can't see him hitting the ground running. Not going to get excited about him tbh.
From The72... QPR are set to sign Spurs forward Yang Min-hyeok on loan until the end of the season, according to reporter Alasdair Gold. QPR have had a quiet window to date but after a busy summer, few expected the club to be highly active in the winter. They kicked off the month with an eye-catching loan deal for centre-back Ronnie Edwards. He’s quickly showcased his talents away from Southampton, bolstering the defensive options for Marti Cifuentes. As said before, there hasn’t been scope for extensive recruitment at Loftus Road, but there is room for one or two more to come through the door before the window slams shut on February 3rd. Now, it seems one man QPR are set to recruit is Spurs prodigy Yang Min-hyeok. Writing on X, trusted reporter Alasdair Gold states a deal is in place for the South Korean starlet to join the Championship club on loan for the rest of the season. The move could go through today as the Rs complete their second loan signing of the month. The 18-year-old can play on either wing but primarily operates on the right-hand side. He joined Spurs officially at the start of the month and is under contract until 2030. More on Yang Min-hyeok QPR-bound Yang has only just landed on English shores but he comes with an exciting reputation in his native South Korea. The 18-year-old winter is viewed as one of the country’s top young prospects and the move to Spurs, where he links up with Son Heung-min, has only increased hopes for his future. Yang broke into the Gangwon FC side over 2024 and broke a string of records for awards won, goals scored and more. He was named the K-League 1 Rookie of the Year and earned a place in the Team of the Year thanks to 12 goals and six assists in 38 games. QPR certainly look to be getting a fine prospect, and it’ll be hoped he can kick on and use this time to settle in the English game. He’ll be in competition for the ever-present Paul Smyth for a spot on the right with Koki Saito, Ilias Chair and Rayan Kolli all capable of playing out wide. There’s also Karamoko Dembele, though he is currently injured. Should the move go through, Yang will use this time to develop and settle into the English game with the help of game time he likely wouldn’t find at Spurs just yet, despite their Injury problems and his exciting potential
