That’s my concern. Hamstrings of this nature are difficult because of his power it’s likely to go again without built up properly Clarke can push us over the line and that is the ultimate goal but like I said timeline dependant
He improves us, unfortunate on Watson but that’s football if its true we need to see similar action in regards to midfielders as some one in there has to miss out so le fee plays there
He is a massive upgrade and I’d be over the moon if it happened but agree we need more on the right than the left ideally, but that’s providing mundle and Watson come back and are ready to make an impact quickly
Clarke would be class for us, so would Watson and Mundle - if we were to bring in Clarke i would trust the club tho. The thing is they know him so if Mundle & Watson are both going to be fit in the next few weeks I trust that RLB believes he can get 2 of them into the starting line up at the same time That would be the key for me if all 3 are fit, how can we get 2 of them into the starting line up. If we can't then I would be worried that we have 3 quality LMs but not the same level on the other side My dream scenario would be Clarke back (loved watching him for us) and 1 of Mundle/Watson ends up playing quality at RM
Here are my reasons for No 1) They always say never look back 2) It means dealing with harte again 3) we were rather predictable with him in the squad and my reasoning for saying yes 1) f&ck 1-3 no reasons 2) we get to sing Clarke will tear you apart again 3) what a joy he is to watch on that left So in summary I’d have him back until the end of the season without a doubt
I personally think an out-of-position Clarke, Watson, or Mundle would offer us more on the RW than Roberts does. I love Roberts, and he's definitely having a better season this year than last, but he's not direct enough, and I think 3 month of one of the left wingers playing out of position would still strengthen us over what we currently have. This all without taking into account the fact that Mundle and Watson are currently injured, with no known date of when they'll back back to their pre-injury selves...which might not even be this season.
No doubt we'd have beaten Burnley. Besides anything else he brings, no way Jack is missing 2 penalties in a game
3) buggy for me he was pretty one dimensional and in turn so were we. If that wasn’t the case this time and he went down the line more then it’s a plus
The Plymouth right back should’ve been absolutely tormented … … Clarke and Cirkin would’ve taken turns to poke him with a stick. Clarke wouldn’t dominate the play, as he did before imo, RLB wouldn’t allow it.
We were predicatable last season, because he was our only goalscoring outlet. When we had him at the start of this season, with more quality across the front, he wasn't the only outlet and we'd not be anywhere near as predicatable if he came back now.
You’ve summed up pretty much how I feel but in a way I couldn’t put together, Not be be negative but it feels like the Amad story last Jan, I can’t see it happening
Only difference is this time, Clarke has became 4th choice pretty much and even got left out of the squad last match
EXCL: Watford is very close to reaching an agreement for Iheanacho. It is the option that best suits the Nigerian who will be loaned out.
The annoying thing is Amad was being offered for loan moves last January, United kept him because of squad depth but at a conference in Feb united/his agent were saying he was likely available for a loan move
