Just read that Mainoo’s representatives are looking for £200k/week. Surely that can’t be true. If true, then he should be sold promptly.

Overpaying players is one of the fundamental reasons we have such dysfunction squad. You give them high salary and if they ever stop performing, it becomes harder to offload them.

I read that his current wage is £20k per week - £80k per month - £960k per annum - not bad wages for a teenager. For him to be asking for £200k is a fkn joke, and if true, he too can join the list of those for sale.

Let’s just hope the stories are speculations because no one could be that stupid to ask for such inflated wage. There is simply no club in the world that would be pay any of our players the ridiculous wages the club pays. We have made them all into Big Charlies. It needs to stop even if it means putting them all up for sale.

Everyone that supports the club but thought they shouldn’t care how the club was wasteful in spending money years ago can now see that even if it is not your money to worry about, the implication of indisciplined financial management will be here at club for many years to come and the fans will bare most of that pain.

Insane transfer fees followed by crazy salaries turned the club into an ATM for players and managers alike. Everyone fkin milked it for the wonderful payday while the club allowed other clubs to milk the so-called united tax.

Now, here we are! Players are overpaid with guaranteed contracts in place. Yet they can never put in consistent performance for three games because there simply is no sustained hunger to earn their living. Worst part is no other club can afford to take them on.

It is hard to imagine how to get out of this rot due to existing contracts and FFP. Tough situation for all!

Curious situation with Garnacho. Obviously the club want rid of either him or Rashford as both sales would represent 100% profit to allow for immediate reinvestment, but I'm a bit uneasy at the prospect of us letting him go to another PL club, with Chelsea supposedly showing some interest, even if we take Nkunu in a swap deal.

I'd rather we wait until the summer window to find other options abroad for both of them rather than take another Chelsea cast off who has only managed two goals in 18 appearances so far this season

I also read today that Amorim wants out. Apparently Southgate would be in line to replace him.

I know we are firmly against never having Southgate, but in my option, our situation is so bad that any half decent manager that can be flexible and firm would make things better.

We are in deep perils here.

That’s the result of years of mismanagement. Those awful contracts are holding the club hostage to players.

It wasn’t our money to care how they dished it out. But the pain is here for us all to bear witness to.

He's the person who "guessed", and I do quote that, that Amorim would leave leave if he doesn't get some signings in, and he "thought" Southgate was available to take over.

That's it. That's what you are hearing, something someone guessed. Article ran by The Mirror, a British rag.

Keys used to present Sky Sports but was sacked, basically.

Actually, you may remember that I raised similar thoughts few weeks ago around the notion that Southgate is the worst thing ever. I don’t buy it! Is he the best, perhaps not. But there’s this insane negative sentiment that he would be disastrous. My argument is that any reasonable manager will be competitive with this squad if they are flexible in their approach.

Evidently, we are not competitive at the moment. Even worse when we play teams with a quarter of our resources. And should Amorim somehow leave because he feels like he’s aged by 10 years in few months, it wouldn’t be the end of the world if Southgate were to take over.

It would be the end of the world mate, it very definitely would.

If we get rid of a quite clearly innovative and forward thinking manager so soon, and bring in a bloke like Southgate to replace him, then the club will die and we'll end up in the Championship.

Not sure that's what INEOS have got in mind if I'm absolutely honest.

And by the way, if you're believing what you read on social media posts, Paul Pogba will be back next week.

Isn’t that a bit of a stretch? For one, Southgate knows how to handle pressure and players better than what most people can conceive. Two definitive skills that you need to manage the club.

Now, the suggestion is not to get rid of Amorim now. But come November, the results will be the only thing justifying his stay. It doesn’t matter that your forward thinking, it is all about results. If he can’t get results, it will evidently signal that he isn’t forward thinking enough.

    Jesus wept..

Have you ever been to old Trafford? Do you live in this country? Do not think any England fan would want Southgate to manage their club.

note how Everton, West Ham overlooked him. Would be an unmitigated disaster and by all accounts why ashworth was shown the door.
