https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar It has been noticeable that Meite has left the field after recent games without acknowledging the supporters. The above link explains his reasons. I guess we have all made criticisms of him on here although I don't recall anything of a personal or racial nature. Certainly not the latter. After recent home games all of the players, except Meite, have circled the pitch to acknowledge the fans support. Surely he would have got more from the general aura of support and well being than scuttling off down the tunnel, or yesterday spending 5 minutes plus talking to Adams on the pitch? From where I sit his full on efforts are always applauded and encouraged - if only he could score. His action is certainly not endearing him to the fans and is not the way to win people over. I guess he will move on this summer and if we get in another striker in the window he might not even make the bench. Such a short sighted attitude.
I think he's a trier, just another that can't hit the back of the net for us. It happens too often with our forward signings. At least Salech has broken his duck. To be fair, you get some effort from Meite. He probably hasn't benefited from our style of play and now we have some structure, he's not getting minutes. There was a lot said about Robinson last year, but he's stepped up a notch this year. Meite might be a player that just plays a bit part until his contract expires. With Salech, Robinson, Ashford, El Ghazi, Willock and Tanner all looking for one of the striker and wide options, he's not going to see much game time. He needs to just keep his head down. There's no excuse for any abuse though.
Yep, I'd echo Remote on this one. He normally tries to put in a shift, and at times his strength has helped in closing out games etc. but it's just not happened for him in his time with us. I'd never "go in on him" as an individual as I know he's trying, but sadly for both parties he needs to move on. Some people tend to go OTT and look for individual players to criticise whilst often overlooking shortcomings elsewhere. Personally I'd say Meite has tried harder then quite a few others over recent months.
Can't do with this "personal" attack thing. He hasn't helped matters going public either. He's definitely a trier and there's no shortage of effort on the pitch. If they'd fit, perhaps we should put Colwill in his boots?
