we have come a long way in a short time, would you like to see the return of George Dobson? the thing is, take SU- beaten 3 -0 at home to hull, all our defeats this season have been by 1 goal. take a few seasons ago, where we lost 5-1 at home to Stoke or 4-0 to smoggies, most of the players we have, we could be their parents or grandparents. things take time, give it a couple of months and these players would have matured into something more. can other teams say they do that as well as us?
Worth it just to sing god took messi and Pele again, he is the exact type we’ve signed recently too, would be a really good addition injury concerns aside but that’s sometimes the risk you have to take in the championship
It's quite recently that we had a squad of players who were all worth less than we’d paid for them, now it’s the reverse. If people can’t see that as progress that’s their problem. Clubs like Charlton. Reading, Wigan, Bolton and Birmingham ‘showed ambition’ … … they’ve lost players, fans and managers, some even lost their grounds
I had been expecting us to bring in a fullback, but then there's not even remotely been any rumblings of the such so I'm not totally sure. 100 striker links but probably because that's more exciting.
Yes i know, but ideally we dont want to be in a position where we have to leave one loan player out imo
Agree,I think that's where they see the need for improvement. We do have players coming through, but they're not ready for this season.
If we could only sign one more player it would be a powerful striker who is very good in the air. It's something we don't have at all at the moment, unlike a versatile forward or full back.
Funny thing is, given the way he has done this year it looks like they overpaid. Unless he breaks through the ceiling he keeps hitting he will never quite be a premier league player.
Be tempted to send Samed back IF there are a couple of loans out there that would improve us - with Browne, Le Fee and Aleksic we have plenty of options in Cm to compliment Jobe, Neil and Rigg.
Not sure when but remember someone linking us with Luis Palma from Celtic, looks like he will be moving on now they have signed Jota Cant ever recall him standing out tbh However the lad Kuhn is scarily similar to Roberts in play style and looks as well albeit maybes more end product but in a weaker league
Yeah Kuhn is mental tbf, can see why they want £25-30million for him (although I don't know if someone will pay). Shows how much quality there can be even signing a decent winger from the Austrian league for a couple million.
Hope so. My plans are after last summer transfer deadline meltdown on here, I'll be tuning into Frankie and Danny at 7.30 with a few cans, and will be staying well clear of here.
Yeah you can even see how that happens with us too, players sign in January and then take 5/6months to properly settle and find their feet. Mundle a good recent example
RLB has said himself he wants a versatile forward, which lines up to the type we have heard of 'Akpom, Semih etc'
