Ironically (?) Stephens is our most likely player to display leadership on the pitch … … unfortunately that does include being an arse and getting sent off and continuing to be an arse and getting a long ban
Someone actually did a fantastic breakdown on how sulemana absokutely destroyed ManU. Good watch though he does fail to mention the fact that he's basically stupid fast.
That’s a good video, although it brought back the memories of Sulemana not laying the ball off for better placed players to score. I think some credit needs to go to Juric for getting him to play like this, after all the time he spent not knowing whether to run with the ball, and risk losing possession, or to just play the ball backwards.
there’s a bit of discussion around the web recently about how the reliance on tactical play has led to the game becoming neutralised. Every team knows what every other team will do in every phase. The solution therefore is freedom to be brilliant. Remove the automatisms from the flair players and they can be the agents of chaos again. Fair play to juric he can see that Sulemana and dibling have the skill to disrupt the oppo systems and open the game up and he obviously sent Sulemana out to do just that. Shame we only got 70 minutes of both of them.
