Can play across the front, a lot of those appearances are from the bench also, so his goals to minutes ratio won't be as bad as it looks.
I'm not sure how relevant that is to the point, though. If Man United scraped past South Shields on penalties in the FA Cup, I imagine their fans would question some of the manager's decisions, and be concerned that they didn't blow them away in 90 minutes. It's not as simple as we won therefore everything the manager did was completely perfect, imo
I think part of the problem is that RLB does not like to change players but gets criticism because of this putting defenders on too early was levelled at him on Saturday handing the initiative to Plymouth as they pinned us back . RLB has done a great job for us this season but I think he got things wrong on Saturday , having conceded five goals against Burnley I thought it was to be expected that we would be faced with them parking the bus or playing with a low block , a more attacking set up would have been a better option as we still lack constructive players who also have speed . Enzo is a very good player but is not being utilised properly ,Roberts is a talented player but lacks the speed to really attack the opposition defence in the way Mundle or even Adil would have - defenders hate people running at them and Plymouth looked vulnerable .
I only mentioned it because you said the substitutions had been lacklustre since Day 1. My point was that we won the first 4 games and played well in each game. I don't understand why the substitutions matter tbh ... ... as I've said I think it's the latest thing to get wound up about.
If we'd left things as they were, or brought on attackers, Plymouth had no other option but to lump the ball forward and see what happened ... ... this idea we should've wrestled possession, in midfield, sounds good but doesn't make sense. Plymouth were totally bypassing midfield and either the keeper or centre backs were simply booting the ball the length of the pitch.
Janis has played more games than Frigan, is older than Frigan and has played at a higher level (Italian Serie A vs Belgian Pro League). The main difference is that Frigan is a 9 and Janis can play anything across the front.
Fair, the scoring record of this lad recently is not great though mind, from what I can see he's never scored more than 6 goals in a season
Transfermarkt has his minutes recorded, looks like he has played 65 (18 goals, 8 assists) games worth of 90 minutes, it also has 73 of his games listed by position of which 45 are not played as a 9. He is better than it looks after a little bit of digging.
It is worth noting that for the most part antiste has fed off minimal chances and in the serie a scored 1 every 2 shots on target - which highlights how little he was getting shot opportunities. However I have absolutely no idea if he's actually linked so I'll agree that for the most part he's hardly played football and is impossible to judge off the sample sizes available.
Not been called up to youth international level since 2021 when he was 19. Had multiple failed loans since
Frigan 5 goals in 31 last season in the Belgian Pro League, currently uncapped by Croatia, rumoured cost £12.6m.
