They might've noticed but it hasn't changed anything. The drop off in performance within the late stages of our games has been an issue since the early part of the season.

Agreed, I like RLB but his use of subs has been fairly lacklustre pretty much from day 1... Really hope he can learn to manage the squad better, otherwise there's definitely a limit to how high he can take us, imo

I'm going to be massively reliant on @CR17 and his updates now. Just deleted twitter. Realised I'm addicted to social media and its a problem. Also deleted facebook and Insta. Going cold turkey.

Won't delete you fellas though, sorry.

I actually think that a lot of the time his subs have changed the game for the better but he deffo needs to learn to change it more whether it be for energy management or to stop us inviting too much pressure etc... good news is its his first season in english football and he'll be learning even if we can't see it as yet

Hull City are confident they have won the race to sign in-demand Aston Villa winger Louie Barry on loan. #hcafc

I'd be delighted to hear Le Bris asked about it. I think it's part of his general football philosophy and I've no doubt he'd explain his reasoning and logic well whether I agree with it or not.

I've been hoping he'd be asked about it for about four months now though so I won't hold my breath.

Hull have really backed Selles this window, fair play. Think they'll finish midtable comfortably.

TBF it can't have been that bad otherwise we wouldn't be where we are, 4 points off top and 13 clear for the play-off's.

I agree it's a concern but RLB keeps saying the only way to learn is in real time, I assume that applies to him as well.

He's clearly a deep thinker and doesn't just want to stand there, barking orders, shouting and pointing.

The defence let us down against Plymouth and I'm sure the team meetings will be addressing all those issues.

I don't want to look like a rose-tinted dope but I trust the club to sort out these things.

You can have as many as you want but only 5 in a match day squad?

I actually do not see player development and aiming for promotion as mutually exclusive. We can continue to develop our players, as we have this season, and win promotion. I tend to think tfr windows warp our view as fans and we suddenly see problems in the squad that havent really been troublesome to date. As we hit January were top 2 contenders with the squad we had. I have long felt the squad will be good enough for top 2 and will be better in the second half of the season. How many new players we need can be over egged in a tfr window when the media hype up tfrs and moves.

Our crown jewel, as a club, is our academy. Right now it is regarded more highly than ever. We can be really selective about which players we take in. The fundamental reason behind that is we have opened a clear pathway to the first team, and made it the heartbeat of our first team. Patto, Neil, Rigg, Watson, Jones. There are a crop waiting in the wings. They are here because of who has gone before them. Would Rigg have signed had Neil been bombed out for a bought in player when he was learning his trade? Would Watson have gone to Brighton if Rigg wasnt showing the way. The very real danger if Rigg or Watson dont get their games is not that they leave early, although that would be a sore one, it would be the impact on the academy players coming up to signing their pro contract, or parents thinking about whether to send their 11 year old here or to Newcastle.

I bang on a lot on here about our homegrown players being the answer for a club like ours. Buying in a Le Fee can be hugely exciting for many. Any time we are linked to players it is exciting. But the balance should always be tilted toward player development at our club imo. I look at Forest down the road from me, they are an entirely unrecognisable club tbh, and the foundations do not look stable. I am not saying we dont buy, but we must not narrow the pathway, or slow down development of the Riggs of this world. It would be something we would regret for a number of years imo.
