Exactly, they are a basket case if it's between Luton and us it's a no brained for the lad. We owe them one for the play off semi at their place season before last. I live in MK which is bad enough but who the **** would want to live in Luton !!!
Yep. There is something about losing a lot of games, especially when it continues over several years, it seems to change your relationship with football, makes you more pessimistic or accepting of defeat, softens you somehow. please log in to view this image I think this era (image above) is really when the optimism started to die for me, before this I had a childlike positivity about the direction the club was heading. There was just enough respite in certain moments such as the cup final under Poyet or the survival miracles under Poyet, Advocaat, Allardyce etc for the fanbase to not completely implode. It felt like most of these seasons we were living off 7-10 wins a season and probably taking 18-20 losses, very depressing when you think this lasted for several seasons.
Are we just moving from one name to another every 48 hours? What happened to Frigan and Akpom? Riis? Akor Adams? The Turkish lad? Who's next?
This is just a fun reach from us tbh mate no link nothing just pure guessing game while it’s quiet haha. Does seem like there could be something in it mind. It’s all very convenient
Aye, we refer to the League One years but actually they were all ‘winning seasons’. The last 3-4 years in the PL were torrid bar the miracle run ins. Truly awful. We didn’t just drop out of the PL someone put us in the slow cooker and went in holiday. Utterly grim. Those that continued to go every game, well it was out of duty not love and I absolutely include myself. Be sat staring at my phone half the game. Backwards as it is, League One actually galvanised us and brought us back to life as a fan base. When we hit the PL we may well look back at those mad years playing Accrington and such as a blessing in disguise that gave birth to a new club.
